VanillaSnack Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Hi there, I want to have a texture pack for Tekkit Lite. So: 1) Do I need to include Optifine first ? If yes, could you give me a link for this version ? 2) What Texture Pack are FULLY supported ? Quote
Malawi Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 1 - No, but it should work better(higher FPS) with optifine installed. 2. I use Sphax pureBDcraft http://bdcraft.net/ you need to first dowload the main pack, and then a patch-pack for tekkit lite, and copy the content of the patch-pack into the main pack. There may be other packs that also fully support tekkit lite. Quote
VanillaSnack Posted March 18, 2013 Author Posted March 18, 2013 Could you please make a little guide about that main pack and patch-pack... I dont get it really how that works ... would help a lot :( Quote
Malawi Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 First you need to download the main pack from here http://bdcraft.net/download-bdcraft-texturepacks. You want the MC 1.4.7 (MC=MineCraft 1.4.7 is the version of minecraft that tekkit lite is currently using) There are different qualities with 512x512 beeing the highest (and demanding the most power from your computer(more lag)). You probably want 64x64 or 128x128 Then you download the patch from here http://bdcraft.net/patch-details?i=5-Tekkit Lite You should have the same resolution in both, 128x128 is the highest resolution for the patch pack. Now you should have two ZIP-files, open the first one, and then the second one. Copy all the content from the second file into the first. If you don't have any utility for opening zip's, 7zip is a very good (and free) option http://www.7-zip.org/ Think I got it all there, if you are still uncertain, please ask again and be as specific as possible. Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted March 21, 2013 Discord Moderator Posted March 21, 2013 That works fine for 0.5.9, but 0.6.1 has a few more things added and a lot updated which are missing. I have assembled a decently working 64x version for 0.6.1 including most the added mods and updates as well, in addition to my own updates to MineFactory Reloaded (which are posted on the Sphax forums). It was... non-trivial. Some of the folders have changed (Ender Storage and something else now have a subfolder), and you either have to go with the old version of the textures which leave blank textures for missing items/blocks or use the vanilla textures. For the mods that just updated I scaled up the default textures and pasted in the old versions of blocks/items that were HD with reasonable results (in Photoshop). My own "creations" (if you can call them that) are a work of copy/paste/fiddle in Photoshop but they at least look reasonable. Hit me up if you want details. Quote
Blocker226 Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Wow you made one for 0.6.1? That is what I've been looking for! If you would be so kind to put up a link to download it, y dear sir, you have won my respect. Quote

It's really simple, but I won't insult your intelligence by spoonfeeding it to you. Quote

Linkops96 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 I read through the whole thread and was astonished that Soartex Fanver wasn't in here! In my opinion, it's cleaner and nicer than Sphax, but Sphax gives it a modern/medieval feel that I like. Overall, I recommend Soartex over Sphax. =] Sincerely, Link P.S. Adlersch, I'm liking the outfit. Quote
Lethosos Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 P.S. Adlersch, I'm liking the outfit. He is a very fashionable evil mastermind, after all. Can't go parading amongst the rabble in rags once his latest plan for world domination succeeds. Quote
