yep the launcher worked, but whenever i clicked launch, a white tekkit screen pops out and then suddenly closes and crashes. What is the problem here?

I'm having the same issue right now on my Mac. I just started using Tekkit Classic today and was fine but when I went to launch the game again, it gave me the same "Java 1.6 is required!" screen like Ysharma showed. I'd really love to get the fix for this.
