Tpaulvc Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 My launcher launches vanilla and im not sure why. I didnt delete any META-INF's and made sure its modpack.jar please download and see what i did wrong.. Thanks! (ive been at this for hours) https://dl.dropbox.com/s/syzbvyd7g6ui1zf/Dawgcraft.zip Also the modpack downloads to .technic so thats not the issue
JasonAvis Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I'm having this exact same problem. It seems that it does not want to put the stuff from the zip into the folders like modpack.jar never gets into the bin folder and none of the mods go into the mods folder
Rious Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Yeah, same issue here. tried everything. my friend got a modpack setup that has almost all the same files, expect it's outdated, and he cant be bothered to update. so im doing it by myself.. but it just downloads the .zip file to temp folder and launches vanilla.
Tpaulvc Posted May 19, 2013 Author Posted May 19, 2013 I deleted modpack.jar and threw forge in minecraft.jar and it worked. so i think modpack is the issue here
Tpaulvc Posted May 19, 2013 Author Posted May 19, 2013 Exactly. Now i did that client side so im not sure of the issue tho. its got me beat
Markarthian Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 When installing forge it is wise to delete the files inside META INF which start with 'mojang' else you might get problems. You can try to do that, but I'm not 100% sure.
Tpaulvc Posted May 20, 2013 Author Posted May 20, 2013 Your supposed to keep the files in forges fml right? Ill try it, another thing i might do is take sombody elses working modpack.jar as a test to see if its something else (i wont keep it cause i have a wierd update to remain compatible with my server)
JasonAvis Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Ok I just copied another modpack that I made and has been working and tried it in my testpack but it still doesnt work it only launches vanilla. Does anyone know how to fix this?
el-panatco Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 I created a modpack myself, and it worked fine. But now forge mod loader isn't doing anything, and when the game starts i only get vanilla 1.5.2 ( my mod-pack was 1.4.7). I spend the whole day trying to fix this, it make's me crazy! Does anyone know why forge mod loader isnt working anymore?
Xicor Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 ya , i have this too and it explanes the issue here : http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/a-few-problems-with-the-platform.45570/ ... read my comments too
nimzy Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Never mind, I figured out what was happening with my modpack. NB: ensure that you're only zipping the directories (bin, mods, coremods, config) and not the folder they're contained in. They have to be at / in the zip.
Steatboy Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 To Fix the Vanilla Look HERE. if you open your modpack.zip if it shows the picture below you did it right. Now if you open your modpack.zip and it look like this you did it wrong. It need to be (Modpack.zip/Ben and mods and ect.) So if your pack is like this(Modpack.zip/modpack/ben and mods and ect.) Then That is wrong

A few users have problems with their custom modpacks and you blame technic for that? Amazing. Do you blame google for not giving you Barack Obama's birth certificate aswell?
