welldooder64 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I tried to Add gregtech to a 1.6.4 modpack but if I change the ".technic" String in the "GT_mod.class" with classeditor and load that file the mod chrashes does anyone know a solution for this problem?
Hammerson Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 My advice is just letting Greg keep his toys. The less attention, the better. He's like the Larry McVoy of Minecraft.
Jalapeno777 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I would recommend simply using IC2 experimental. It has a lot of gregtech components already in it and I'm sure more will be coming.
Tntrololol Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 IC2 Experimental doesn't even come close to GregTech and likely never will. While the mod did recently get slightly more complicated, it still doesn't add nearly the amount of content that GregTech does. Regardless, Greg himself is a regular jerk and it only seems right to deny him the satisfaction of prohibiting the use of his mod with the Technic Launcher. If anyone has a fix for this, it would be greatly appreciated!
Valkon Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Rather than going through the process of editing the class files and whatnot and hoping it doesn't break for some reason, wouldn't it be easier just to set it to install in a directory outside the .technic folder?

I tried that and it doesn't seem to work anymore. The mod doesn't crash your game, it just forces the game to skip loading it altogether.
