can't connect to minecraft.net

simply whenever i open my launcher and attempt to log in it pops up with a little box saying cant connect to minecraft.net i have tried letting it through my firewall, i have disabled smartscreen, i have deleted the file in my roaming, i have downloaded the launcher a few times and it still comes up with this message i am running on windows 8.1 and this problem occurred when i downloaded the latest launcher and used to work fine with the old one please help?

I have the same problem.

But this is the 6th post about it.

And nobody have solved it. I have even tried to delete my anti-virus and firewall, doesn't help.

i know how to fix it when u are at ur launcher troubleshoot  compatibility then do recommended
