Huge Server / Client-Side Problem

Recommended Posts

I have been having huge server problem to where it says I'm missing mods. The server is correct, updated, and should be working fine. I updated my Technic Launcher and reset it, re-installed it, nothing works. Here's a picture of my problem.

(EDIT: Won't let me post pictures so I had to give out a link)

The server is asking for Galacicraft core 2.0.9, that's the version from B-Team 1.0.8, it was updated to 2.0.10 in B-Team 1.0.9c.

You can either connect to the 1.0.8 server by downgrading to the 1.0.8 client, or update the server to 1.0.9c to run with your 1.0.9c client, but they need to match.

Hmm alright thank you. I downloaded the newest version of the server from some link on the site. Does that mean I should look for a better (more updated) link?

I think downgrading client-side is easier. Thank you so much for telling me that. Saved me hours or more searching. Never knew about the versions xD

No worries,

Server download is here; http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/bteam/BTeam_Server_v1.0.9c.zip

You'll usually find it on this page; http://www.technicpack.net/attack-of-the-bteam

Keep an eye on the launcher for the message that B-Team has a new recommended version, that's the easiest way to tell (it's new and updates a lot at the moment).

If you do upgrade the server, the easiest way is to set it up fresh (in its own folder) then copy across your existing world and player folders.  That way you don't risk conflicts with different mods you might have forgotten about or config files that are missing info for newer versions of mods, plus you've got your old server just sitting there untouched if anything goes wrong on the new one while you're updating.  Once you're happy with the new version, you can just get rid of the old folder and just go back to whatever you were doing for backups otherwise.

Have fun!
