BTeam mods add more structures?

  1. 1. Would Technic ever consider this? Wouldn't you like awesome ruins to explore while you take over the world?

    • Hell Yeah! Hope so!
    • Meh, maybe.

Can we get some more interesting structures generated on this modpack. I love the Ruins mod and better dungeons and battle towers mods. This modpack is great, but I like have structures to explore, as do players on my server. Bteam is all about world domination, whats better then concurring dungeons and exploring the world before you take it over? Imagine walking though a battle tower with your minions by your side. These would be a great addon to the modpack. Twilight forrest would also be awesome. Any chance technic would add these in?

The modpack is quite huge already in my opinion. Any further world gen-mods would make it unplayable for most people

Unless any modpack creators out there wants to prove me wrong?

I agree that the pack could use some extra world gen structures would be awesome, yet as Munaus said it would be to much of a strain, as it already is for most people. You could probably include the Ruins mod, but have it so it doesn't have those uber big structures (like the flying castle one) somehow, but hey I'm not a mod creator so I don't know. And adding the twilight would again be awesome, but again be hard for most people to manage. I like the idea of finding new things in the world other than boring witch circles. Nice suggestion yet I doubt it would be possible

Yea I suppose, but it would be great addition for those who can run it. And computers are getting better and better, doubling performance every year, making computers like those that are good enough to play this mod pack with these mods added, cheap in just a few years time. Those who don't have good pc's atm will prob have computers better then mine (which is new) by time they next upgrade computers. In a few years everyone will hopefully have a pc thats good enough to run this modpack with these aditions. So adding to this modpack wudnt b a big deal cause everyone will have gud enough pc's eventually.

Yea, I think it possible if the mods are tweeked. perhaps remove a few biomes and instead have ruins. its all about 1: waiting for people to have pc's that can handle it all. or 2: editing the mods and sacrificing some stuff to make room for others.

Isn't tht what ftb does? they have a heap of dif versions of ftb, some with lite verions of the modpack, and others with dif mods but some taken out to make room for em. Why doesn't technic do what ftb did? or like tekkit lite?

make a bteam lite with a few structure mods instead of like tropics. I dunno. I just like to find new buildings and structures, makes the game more immersive. Its why I like Elder scrolls, finding all the cool buildings and dungeons that are all different etc.

Technic doesn't need to do what FTB does. We have platform, when Technic makes a pack that people feel something is missing they copy the pack and add/remove whichever mods they like/don't like

isnt tekkit lite exactly tht though, a version of tekkit with a few mods removed to make it easier to use? Cudnt same thing b done to attack of the bteam to make those who lag with modpack able to handle it, and perhaps make a version with dif mods, like ruins and twilight forest or whateva. I dont think just copying the modpack and just dumping the mods in wud b legal or work, since id's might conflict. Ftb was just an example of how dif versions of the same pack can be made, but same can be said for tekkit.

You're new here. Tekkit Lite is not a "lighter" version to the main Tekkit pack. It's a moving-on-from-the old-Technic-Classic-pack. (which was the main Technic pack back in the day)

A few main mods like Redpower and IC2 stopped their development. The mod devs retired and the mods stagnated

Technic decided to create this modpack as such and then move on with a brand new one.

There was also the ForgeBukkit (I don't remember the details..) that was cut out.

Tekkit Lite was also the day when Minecraft was introduced to all-online mode.

Therefore referencing the word Lite.

As I already mentioned, there are probably dozens of users who have made their own versions of B-team modpack right now on the Platform. Whether their versions of packs work or not is a different story.

I'd rather Technic put their effort on the new Launcher and Platform they announced some time ago

Well i will keep an eye out, perhaps they will add some more stuff to bteam or create a modpack thats as good as bteam and has more generated structures. And yea im new here, i just read the technic lite description "One geared for smaller servers"   and thought its a lightweight version of tekkit. I'm still learning all about these packs. I like hexxit cause it has those mods in it, but its not as fun as bteam, hence y I would luv for a fun modpack like bteam with these type of mods in em. But yeah, will just wait and see.
