rfranceks Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 So I am hooking up a quarry to a tesseract from Thermal Expansion three, and I have the other end of the tesseract channel hooked up to a Big Reactors 5x5 reactor and my storage system in a pocket Dimension from Dimensional Doors. The quarry tesseract is powering the quarry just fine, but it is not accepting/sending the material produced by the quarry through buildcraft transport pipes. It just gets ejected at the junction of the pipes and the tesseract. The quarry side tesseract is set to send items only, receive energy only; the storage side is set to receive items only, send energy only. If anyone has some helpful information to get it working, please let me know. Quote
fulvus Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Try using itemducts instead of buildcraft pipes. Use the wrench to flip the quarry to red (coming in arrow) and the part hitting the tesseract as blue. I think having the tesseract directly ontop works too, but I like to see things personally. jakalth Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 You'll want to have the tesseract in your sorting room directly touching a chest to dump it's contents into. otherwise there can be issues with sending items through it using BC pipes or quarries. Then just use wooden pipes with autarchic gates set to pulsar mode or itemducts set to extract to remove the stuff from the chest. I think an ME interface will also work in place of the chest if your sorting system uses an ME network. Item ducts have a built in buffer that compensates for the tesseracts, which is one other option. Using them to transfer items from the quarry to the tesseract, sort of works. Quote
rfranceks Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 (edited) Neither of those (2nd post) worked. I used an impulse item duct and got the same result. Dirt and sand shooting out of the top of the quarry. Using an adjacent test on the sorting room end does seem to be working now. I just hooked up the same power that I was pumping into the tesseract into the wooden transport pipe to get it out of the chest to the sorting room. Thanks a bunch! TokiWartooth Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 All my machine outputs use ender chests, they are cheap and can be hooked to an ME precision import bus and thus can be run anywhere, pipes always have issues as the systems get bigger, ender chests have never failed me. Quote
Teraku Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I use item ducts on both sides of the tesseract. Remember that the receiving tesseract needs to have its itemduct in Extraction Mode by using a Crescent Hammer on it. Quote
