Chase Mostat Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I have no idea where to post this since theres no section for forum issues, but I want my account removed because I don't like my username showing my name, and I will not be logging back into this forum. I want it done fast. If you need me to confirm by email or whatever you can send me one, but I want it removed please. Quote
Moderators Munaus Posted August 28, 2014 Moderators Posted August 28, 2014 he didn't ask for technical help. He asked to get his account removed. Which is not possible through Moderators, only the red ones (admins) can do it. You can PM the admins or wait to get an answer here on this thread. But OP, if you don't want to use this forum, then just don't. That's the simplest solution Quote
Neowulf Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Funny thing is this is his only visible post. Chances are this account wouldn't even show up in a search if not for this thread. ThePagan and Loader 2 Quote
Loader Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Yeah, this is one of those rare situations where PM'ing a moderator for advice might have been the best first move. Is there a 'hide thread' option or something like that you guys can use in the meanwhile? Quote
Neowulf Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 We can hide or delete it (both have the same effect for non-mods), but it's too late. Google will have indexed it by now. If anyone does a search on Mr Mostat here, this thread or atleast a cache of it will show up. Since we lowly mods can't do anything I'm content highlighting this as what not to do when trying to wipe your online presence so future employers and whatnot can't find out you like to play an extremely popular game and socialize with others. Kalbintion Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Yep, google has it indexed and cached: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://forums.technicpack.net/topic/68889-i-want-my-account-removed/ As well as Coral Cache: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> You can use http://www.cachedpages.com/ to see if a page is cached or not.
