  1. MIA: Missing Inaction

    1. TheBytemaster

      TheBytemaster

Wouldn't that mean there was action?

    2. Lethosos

      Lethosos

Or a lack of action. Specifically, female action.

      *ba-tum-tish!* :D

  2. This thread is full of delicious tears. Sounds like OP is upset he can't take the latest awesome modpack and mass-sell it to his players and keep riding the cash cow.
  3. It means that the layer (known as the "JVM" or "Java Virtual Machine") that essentially acts as a communication layer between your computer and the java software you are trying to run isn't there or loading for some reason. Do you have Java installed?
  4. OP, please type in full sentences. It's hard for the community to read when you shorthand everything, and reading is what this community excels at. Additionally, when you put half-assed effort into your posts, we then put half-assed responses back in helping you. We're all self-made men and women here and willing to help another out, but only if you put in the time and effort.
  5. Toki Wartooth of Dethklok, leader of the Gears and silly guitarist that adores cute animals, how dare you say the name of he-who-should-not-be-named?
  6. Let's stick to the topic on hand and not get into the whole one-sided mindset that it's FTB vs Tekkit and play out the zombie discussion that ensues. It's not an "us vs them" kind of deal. People can play both, none, either, and not be total dickpickles. Or embody the definition of dickpickle. That's life. This. This is Hexxit.
  7. You forgot my favorite: ~*Sparklefarts*~
  8. What if I had insight into Hexxit from a lil birdie? What if I said someone posted something somewhere in the forum that was spot on? What if the answer was right there in front of each of your noses, waiting to be discovered? A lot of "what ifs" floating about, who knows what's truth, lies, or speculation!
  9. It's ok, neither do I. The PM's I get fall generally fall into two categories: Worthy of an immediate permaban, or "Oh ok didn't realize it was a rule I won't do it again". In the early days the former was dominant. Now it's just mostly no PM's.
  10. I dunno who locked it but I agree on the move especially after post 2 this thread degenerated to nothing but squabble over whether it should get locked or not. Leave that decision to the mods, it's not something that should be argued about among mere mortals. Instead be excited about this mystery thingy thang and talk about it!
  11. I'm a big fan! Please centralize all discussions on this topic in the aforementioned link. Thanks.
  12. Please centralize all discussion to the aforementioned link. Thanks.
  13. Please centralize discussions to the aforementioned link. Thanks.
  14. All I think of is the countdown, and its totality.
  15. Oh I don't know The Dark Angel, there's just so much I'd really enjoy! I fear I may ramble at length and prevent you from speaking your heart's most longing desires. On that note, what about you? Yes, you! I'm sure you could be wanting a new feature or two in the Technic Platform? Like a new visual layer for users to interact with, perhaps? Or more creation-aware developmental aids for those people that make groups of mods work together? I guess work on bugfixes could be what you want, but I'm sure that's boring for you as who would want a month of no features, and only bugfixes? Anyway, those are my innocent guesses as to what you could possibly want. Note: Please keep in mind that I am not a dev I just want to know what other people want added.
  16. Because in this instance the people providing a service are not wasting effort into policing how it is used. Imagine if Bit Torrent, Inc. had to police the entire internet's usage of BitTorrent. Here's a more solid example: Microsoft doesn't police how people use their products like Visual Studio, as programmers are using it as a service to program more efficiently. You could be using it for crazy sketchy hacking things. However, they will and do police a person having a copy of the software and punish them if it is unlicensed. Another example is how in my state, you have to have a license to own a gun. You don't have to pay nor tell anyone when you use it in the firing range... or in more malicious situations. This isn't meant to start down the path of intellectual property rights. Just trying to clarify actual products versus services for ya. The bottom line is: If it is your mod, you're taking on as much responsibility and control as you want. Some actions will win fans, some won't.
  17. Your thread is asking for technical support about something other than custom modpacks and/or the technic platform. Please file a bug report instead.
  18. Then feel free to add more information to what you did! All you've given us so far was: ...which to me isn't very descriptive and doesn't sound like a mod. More info is always better, but if it is a specific error you are trying to resolve the bug reports are always more tailored to individual needs.
  19. I guess I should clarify: Asking for help in pagoda and cafe lame is free warning points. Discussion about relevant topics in each is okay. The logical flowchart should be: "Am I asking for help on broken things? If yes, bug report!" "If no, is it relevant to Technic/Tekkit/Platform? If yes, Pagoda!" "If no, Cafe!" You caught me with my britches down trying to clean up the mess so don't feel bad. Now we all know. Jordan Nicole, please file a bug report and you should be good.
  20. File a bug report. Putting anything technic/tekkit related in cafe lame is grounds for free warning points.
  21. My favorite part of this fairy tale is the plot twist.
  22. I may be back... Y'all probably don't even know who I am anymore!
