Custom modpack doesnt load

a friend's custom modpack has not loaded when i use it in the launcher. when i click on it, it starts verifying then hides the launcher then shows the launcher again without starting the pack.

the modpack works for all my friends but not for me. i have tried reinstalling loads of versions of java and nothing has worked.

ive done that and now when i try to open the technic launcher it says the registry refers to a nonexistant Java Runtime Enviroment installation or the runtimme is corrupted. the system could not find the path specified

Don't bump, when someone has the time to help, they will.

 

As for your broken java path, you probably got a corrupt java installed or the old one didn't get properly uninstalled.

 

Uninstall all javas

Restart your PC

Install java 7

what is the best way to uninstall all javas because it always seems to leave some bits of java behind when i try

Attention: Please do use the newest Java 7 version. Java 7_67 is not the newest anymore (it is 71) ->

There are surely plenty of google results when searching for "uninstall java" or alike. Just make sure that you reboot at least once after uninstalling (personally, knowing windows and the mess it can make, would reboot after each uninstall if several javas have to be uninstalled).
