  1. Yes. It is rather intense, isn't it.
  2. Okay. I wanna find strongholds so bad but I only got two eyes of ender. How do? Like this. Imagine from birds-eye-view that the Minecraft world is a big graph of X and Y. Oh wait, it is. So for all subsequent coordinate geometry, use the X and Z values given to you within Minecraft. I will refer to Z as Y. Let A be the point at which an Eye of Ender is thrown, and let B be the point at which it lands. Do this two times, on level ground. Let D be the distance between A1 and A2 Let S mark the spot where your stronghold is. Let vectors V1=B1-A1 V2=B2-A2 and D=A2-A1 We seek S, where the relationship can be defined as S=A1+k1V1 where k1 is unknown. We can substitute to give us A1+k1V1=A2+k2V2 Therefore D=[V1V2][k1,k2] Now it gets tricky. [V1xV2x,V1yV2y]x[k1,k2]=[A2x-A1x,A2y-A1y] so we can find k1 k1=(A2x-A1x)V2y-(A2y-A1y)V2x / V1xV2y-V1yV2x now we can dump that into our original X equation to get our solution! S=A1+{(DxV2y-DyV2x) / (V1xV2y-V1yV2x)}V1 It's late, so I won't be going through the trigonometry required to locate the other two strongholds quite yet, so stay tuned! (The moral of the story, I really needed a bloody subscript button on the Rich Text editor)
  3. I'ma gonna go work on some intense math, but I fear matrices are going to be more valuable than trig.
  4. Heavy Rain. But you play that game for the story, so waving your arms around is a major distraction. So if you are unfortunate enough to already own PSMove, sell it to some other moron.
  5. That would be the user absolutely spamming the thing to death, coupled with the server having issues calculating all that water. The user can also make more than one source block appear at a time.
  6. These are the rings from Equivalent Exchange. The tell was the rain going on and off, shooting the Evertide Amulet or the blue Ring of Arcana into the sky will do that. These rings are also capable of creating lava and water source blocks. As for how to combat them, there are multiple server related threads detailing fixes and rollback methods. Although I would just ban them outright; they serve little purpose other than doing harm.
  7. Yo, you could always check out the... whitelisted server section. A good indicator of whether a server is safe for you to stay is the ratio of random conversation in the thread to people whining about their stuff getting griefed. Other than that, judging a community will always take time. Find a server with your prequisite plugins etc. then determine whether the admin is an asshat or not. Then just play for a while.
  8. You really need to bring this up with the server owner. This is a Railcraft error that will eventually destroy the server. Tell the owner to delete the railcraft.dat There are other methods, but I am not anyone's personal Google.
  9. Beer battered fish 'n' chips.
  10. Microblocks cry when you try to roll them back.
  11. Nah, this is actually spam. Reported.
  12. Nah, I think I can employ a clever trick to increase the number of cows to about 10,560,000 in a single post (without compressing or changing original image dimensions) but I can't be bothered. I abdicate from the Moo Throne.
  13. That is the maximum number of moo this forum can handle. FACT.
  14. The blog thingy is to tell you what your name is, and to give you a greeting based on the time of day.
  15. Did the nether reset? I have a secret stash with every single item in there. Literally every single one.
  16. Depends which area of planet Earth you are on. If you are in the UK - http://www.cougar-extreme.co.uk/ Look no further. Their warranties are killer, and they even absorbed the cost of my motherboard upgrade because the one I chose wan't compatible with SLI.
  17. Yeah, but you're all forgetting all cables can take an unlimited amount of packets. Cables are only limited by packet size. All things that send power send packets sized equal to their output rating, once per tick (20 packets per second). A solar panel is rated at 1 EU/t. It will send packets sized 1 EU, once per tick. A geothermal generator is rated at 20 EU/t. It will send packets sized 20 EU, once per tick. A Batbox is rated at 32 EU. It will send packets sized 32 EU, once per tick. And so on! Any cable that receives even a single packet larger than it is built for will vaporize. Any machine that receives even a single packet larger than it is built for will explode, with varying severity.
  18. What do you mean by 'over there' ?
  19. Hah, well you happen to be both open and closed minded at the same time >.< Anywho, just to chip in, The larger the packet size a cable is taking, the more that energy will dissipate. I.E. you can't have more than 100 blocks of ExtremeV going if you want to power anything more than an electric toothbrush at the end. Switch things to Glass Fibre ASAP. But don't use EE to get the diamonds for this. Because then you'll realise if you're condensing enough to rattle off enough diamonds for turning everything to Glass Fibre cable, then why do you need machines anyway? And that, Silent, is why EE makes so many people never explore mods beyond basic IC2 machines.
  20. That's a silly idea, refutable due to many modders having their heads firmly lodged up their collective anus, and given the inane history of Technic/Tekkit.
  21. Nah, Eloraam is putting windmills in as an alternate power source. Even though these are horizontal, Dong Princess is still calling foul.
  22. you ar flail

    1. Jorcer

      Jorcer

He is a medieval weapon consisting of a stick and a spiky ball on a chain!? Awesome.

  23. Aye. I reserved a preorder copy, so I get all the map packs, the funky stuff for my character, and early access to other shit. But without paying for it until I'm sure it's any good. And I can back out.
  24. Agreed on everything there. I'm intrigued by the Spartan Ops, which looks fun and unusual. But shall I preorder...
