  1. You may think you're a Sherlock, but perhaps nerd poles are in this winter...
  2. I know there's a Wacom graphics tablet under the tree. How long can I hold off for...
  3. What make is it?
  4. Well, if you decide, just drop me a PM
  5. Best off with IC2 for that. mfw glass fiber cables (^ᴗ^)
  6. Yo, you should totes go back, read all the rules again, then go and put this thread in the proper place. Protip - report your own post before one of the peeps in blue turn up and beat you to death with your own clavicle.
  7. Ah, the NA section is on Waterson, which is East :P
  8. Pretty sure some dudes have already put MC into C++, for the lulz. That was back in 1.8 though.
  9. Download Yuri's Revenge right now, and come back when your mind is changed forever.
  10. Archangels' Smite. Don't have any friendlies around though.
  11. How much RAM do you have? General rule of thumb for games these days is 4GB or get bent.
  12. I'm getting a graphics tablet for Chrimbo methinks. Though I'm probably gonna use it for 3d modelling. I've got a game to make!
  13. Clarify on something I said why don't you. I'm just making an inane connection. BTW moderators in general had a taste for being gigantic asshats and regularly trying to find any users who had any connections over here. My account was hardly similar, and I never posted anything close to being considered flame bait, but bam. Account obliterated for having Moogle in the name. I was just somewhat concerned seeing as I've seen a handful of legitimate threads disappear horribly over on FTB, and the ties between the two forums are present. Thus, inane connection. However, I have no account over there, and all I see is what people show me.
  14. You know what gets me? The head moderator of the FTB forums is the head moderator of the BTW forums. She did an excellent investigative job of banning any and all members on the BTW forums that happened to have a similar sounding name to an account over here. Perfect resumé, huh. I would give you proof, but the account and all my threads are gone. This is all a messy, potentially scary joke. I just wanna play mods and discuss with like minded people. Not get constantly mucked around by massive amounts of people with their heads up their collective arse. On both sides. Why the hell are there sides anyway!
  15. Pester away, friendo.
  16. I remember using AMCO back in 1.6.whatever. But they were like 'piracy was all cool yarr' then, which was kinda bent.
  17. Yeah, it's not really that simple. The point of this thread is that new members are meant to be recruited by existing members. So it's way easier just getting in touch with me, than minge through the forums, which could take over 24 hours to go through.
  18. I can't remember what version it was, but I remember you had to boost minecarts by having another minecart run alongside it. Redstone hadn't been implemented then, I think.
  19. FTB is starting to turn from joke to scary. "Staff" being able to access any server, this bull with passwords. This is eerily reminiscent of MCBans.
  20. So I recently got swept up by some cool dudes, and whaddoyaknow, I now hold some responsibility over there for some insane reason. But hey, we're always recruiting, and I figured this was a good a place as any to scout for new members. If you haven't heard of Planetside, either 1 or 2, then you need to stay in more. This game is an MMOFPS, with an emphasis on the MMO. It's quite astonishing to know that all of the hundreds of players in a single fight are all actual players, and that dozens of these fights are happening, spanning multiple continents. How does Warrior Nation fit in? We're a semi organised outfit with about 70 registered members, and we're on the rise. We like to stick together and work as a coherent unit, and we use Teamspeak on our Tuesday and Friday game nights. Warrior Nation also supports a shed load of other games, across nearly all platforms, though I can't really get you in to anything other than Planetside. Yeah, we have a rather anal admissions process as a whole. Not my call. But rolling with us couldn't be easier! All you need to do is this. 1. Have the game. It's free, dammit! 2. Have Steam. It's a good way for me to talk you through admissions and other stuff, plus we do announcements and events over it. We give the odd game away, too. 3. Pester me on these forums, where I'll let you get in contact with me via Steam. 4. I'll bring you in to the outfit after you've registered on our forums, and we'll merrily blast our way to victory! If you're not sold, either because you're kinda wasted or I'm genuinely bad at marketing, check this out http://warriornation.net/Forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2529 It's our subforum where the cool kids hang out. If you are an existing player, we are currently on the Ceres EU server. Our Lord whom art Smed says character moving should be up by February. Doesn't stop you creating a temporary character to roll with us for a bit, then bring over all your goodies then. Also, if you're in the US, and EU servers kinda suck for ya, I can get you in touch with the boss lady of the NA Vanu Sovereignty section, and jam with that lot instead. Bunch of purple morons.
  21. Aw crap, I meant to do a morningstar yesterday. ;_;
  22. Yo, is it cool if I put up a Planetside 2 thread for a forum/outfit I'm part of? It's not strictly advertising, but I wanted to check in case you went bananas over it.

    1. Cheap Shot

      Cheap Shot

In the arcade? yeah sure go ahead.

    2. Cheap Shot

      Cheap Shot

      I don't see why not.

  23. I want to make a request! Draw my avatar in your watercolour style Seeing as I drew this myself, I like to see how other people take on the same thing.
  24. It's rather hit and miss. What old engines offer is an enormous amount of plugins and documentation. What newer engines offer is visual programming, better content pipelines and rapid prototyping. I am currently creating a videogame using the Unreal 3 engine, and am having a whale of a time. Rapid prototyping is exactly what I need as I'm new to a lot of techniques, and often need to experiment, without having to wait half an hour for the level to compile.
  25. You are however forgetting that the dude(s?) at Blendo have employed an enormous number of tricks to get their game looking as good as it does. They custom built a hilarious number of tools to do all the lightmaps and post processing. While I'm sure you have the intelligence to get a playable game out of this engine, I wish you any luck getting it to look like a 21st Century game.
