Use a Light Detector (or whatever it's called). It will give out a redstone signal when enough light hits it. It's sensitivity can be adjusted by shift+clicking it with a Screwdriver.

I installed the GraviSuite mod on my server because i want to have another way to fly rather than an odd ring. Only downside is, after some research, that EE2 blocks all other ways of flying. This sucks. Is there any way to not have it block flight?

Then check your firewall and antivirus. They may be blocking access to the login servers.

If you are an admin there, i suppose you can contact the servers host/owner. Tell him/her to update Java and make sure RP2 is properly installed.

The central processing unit is from RP2, not CC. Also please post the full error log. Try to find out what Java the server uses. If possible, get Java 7 on it.

Do the default fixes; update your Java, reinstall the launcher, reinstall Tekkit (remember to backup your saves!) and report back. Also, which version of Java do you have, 32 or 64 bit? Also which version of Windows do you have, 32 or 64 bit? Mismatched Java and Windows cause problems.

It usually means that something has gone wrong over on Mojang's side. Wait a few minutes, and try again. Also use http://help.mojang.com/ to see if any of the Minecraft servers are down. If the multiplayer sessions are down or the logins aren't working properly, you usually get a bad login error.

There are two things: 1. Does it have a bukkit port for the correct Minecraft and Bukkit versions? 2. Does it "break" Tekkit?
