Holy cow, that would be amazing, and I'd imagine not too hard to implement. This would take RiM to another level entirely for me. I thank/applaud you for this. I've read through more than a few forum pages for mods, (including a 300+ page one with aznor in it during the development of TC3), and you are by far my favorite modder.

Wish?
-
They are hiding, lurking, waiting for their chances to pick us off one by one. Danger is all around us, we must always be aware! Or, ya know, they don't really care that much. Or they don't exist. Probably some of each.
-
No. I wish for a pokeball that can capture other people's pets.

He makes it. And amazingly, the story dosen't ever end, but goes on, and on, and on, and oonnn- but then you play so long and push so much data through your computer that it eventually becomes self-aware, and decides that the best way to conquer the world would be through mass production of robotic pudding-eating monkeys. The massive pudding shortages spread throughout the globe, causing mass panic and mayhem to overthrow the world's governments. Except China. Which decides to take over the world for itself. Four hundred years into the future, a Chinese scientist discovered the secret to the ultimate pudding. But controversy about the origins of the research lead to a deep-set division in the pudding research lab where the recipe originated, setting all of the employees on edge. Later that week, Sedrick stole my lunch, which, through one thing and another, eventually lead to a pudding balloon fight in the room with all of the computers that controlled the world's supply of radioactive 500-foot fire-breathing lizards. After Tokyo was destroyed thirty seven times in a single day, the rest of the world followed suit. And all because you just HAD to have Fable IV. Now for my wish. Corrupt this. I wish to have the ability to control time for this or any other entire universe, as well as any subset or subsets I so desire and share any chosen effects of this time manipulation with any other objects or individuals I so desire, whether this sharing will allow them to act within frozen time, experience time as moving at a different relative rate, or any other effect I can cause through this ability, while neither I nor they suffer any of the negative consequences coupled with such time manipulation in regular physics, with this ability accessed and controlled through my own simple use of imagination and non-strenuous mental effort, and the manipulations of time possible through this ability including but not limited to the following: first, the alteration of my subjective experience of time's flow to be either slower or faster, while I remain moving at my own usual speed from my relative perceptions, with the exact rate of time being exactly as I desire; second, the stopping of all activity by all objects and beings besides myself, except in those cases in which I am sharing the time-stop effect with others, while I and those I share with are still capable of normal action as we would be were time not stopped; third, objective reversal of events while keeping my thoughts and knowledge intact, with the speed and extent of reversal being exactly as I desire; fourth, instantaneous travel to any point in time I choose, whether that travel is objective - that is, bodily travel through time while remaining in the same point in space as relative to the planet I am on, or subjective - that is, mental travel through time to temporarily displace the mind of my self of that time with the mind of my self that initiated the travel, with all my thoughts and knowledge intact and current with when the travel was initiated, as well as gaining all memories gained by the other self in the mean time in cases of subjective travel to the future, and the displaced mind is to be replaced upon my subjective time travel departure; all these time control abilities are to remain available to me even should manipulation in the time stream causes this wish to never be made, or if I travel to a point in time before this wish was made, and I am to be given memories and knowledge of these abilities immediately should any event occur to cause said memories and or knowledge to be lost.

I like the rapier better.

I think I may have found the worst Hexxit seed ever. Or possibly the best seed ever, depending on how tenacious you are. Try it out if you want an extreme challenge. -7988970851811656446

Hexxit problems? Maybe fixed in the future.

Exactly my thought when I found the ores. I thank whoever is responsible. -
That would be terrible in the game. High-speed super-creepers with a sprint ability.
-
It installed fine, it just took it's sweet time. I may possibly have malware that's causing this, (still investigating), so it may not be Hexxit's fault.
-
Yeah, got it here too. It still reacts, but it's really slow. My HDD activity light was solid almost the entire time.
-
Props to whoever designed the floating castles. Never saw that thing at the top coming.

Ooh, shiny! I'm rather pleased with the download speed, thought the server would have been utterly flooded by now. Nevermind. I retract that statement. EDIT: I haven't even started playing and already java is eating ungodly amounts of ram. As much as it can physically get without killing other processes, it appears.
-
Aw, darn. But while we're here, we might as well make some !!SCIENCE!!
-
... You saw nothing. NOTHING.

Continuous mode? Well, that sounds interesting. How possible would it be to have some sort of plugin for computercraft that allows it to directly interface with adjacent carriage blocks and set up a continuous movement of X blocks? I'm just glad that you're still taking me seriously after all the stupid ideas I've had. I should really get back into java and learn to mod so I can contribute more to the community.
-
Well, I guess I exaggerated a bit, and I was thinking more for creative singleplayer, ops in multiplayer and of course map makers, but you get the point.
-
[but the thing I really want to ask is, would it even be necessary? That's even more processing occurring for motion that lasts for only one second, especially when you take into account the delay between client and server. Can you give me any exemplar scenarios of where being able to move around during one second of motion would be useful, keeping in mind that the only restriction being proposed is on the position, not the orientation or the action (so you can still turn around and do stuff, just not to the carriage because that's only a ghost)?
-
Yeah, something like that would probably become a de-facto mod in a lot of packs if it was done well.
-
I know, but what I'm saying is that collision should kick them back the way they came if they only move 1/20th of a block into the block, kind of like how if you stand under falling sand, it kicks you into an open space if available when the entities turn back into blocks. I suppose you could avoid this entirely if you just prohibited movement in the same direction as the platform in some way. A compromise between the two could be to set the position of only the axis that the carriage is moving on. That way you could still move sideways... right?
-
Exactly what I was thinking earlier.
-
Kinda, but in the minecraft engine.

I don't believe that was what he was asking, he said he wanted to use his simple miner that is pointing down (buildcraft?) as a horizontal mining tool, but yes, that is another option.
