  2. Anyone else notice that there are hardly any Endermen? We see maybe one or two a day. Any mods affecting this? Or should I go looking for a plugin that affects spawn? Hard to accumulate resonant ender, when there's hardly any endermen around.
  3. Yep. My group's been down for about a year due to one of these "new world" recommendations. Fortunately, we just came back on the 1.6.4 beta, so we're set for a little while, but it'll come again.. I think the only real way to resolve is for there to be some sort of conversion tool. I remember with some of the old Technic migrations, users created a worldconverter. Without something like that, we have to reset.
  4. They added Forestry to Tekkit? That doesn't sound right. There was a big ol' kerfuffle a year or so ago between the mod maker and Technic that got it removed from the pack. Can't imagine it getting back in.

  9. Not a whole lot you can do. You'll need the new generation of it anyway, because I can guarantee your old map doesn't have any of the new Tekkit ores spawned in it. Use something like MCEdit to copy over your old buildings.

  13. 1. Probably. Someone made a converter when we went from 1.1.4 to 2.1. I presume someone will do the same here. 2. Unknown. SirPoopyPants will be removing the DRM eventually, supposedly.. but there are no promises as to whether the IDs will sync.

  15. Fodder for the OP's cannon vs his friends. I have people who "don't like" that they have to use a launcher. They can stuff it. Thank's. I didn't get it from jakj's post.
  16. Yes! There is! Download every single one of the mods in Tekkit from their respective homes, make sure their versions match the ones installed on your server, manually install each of them on each of your friends' computer, then make sure the items they each bring don't conflict. I suspect it'll only take a few days to get done.. as opposed to the mere minutes the launcher would. But, hey, who wants to be inconvenienced by using a launcher?

  18. ***THEORY*** Have you tried looking into buildcraft's builder block? I hear it runs on schematics.. not sure what that means, though. If you look in your server folder -> Buildcraft you'll see a schematics folder.. perhaps you can export to there?
  19. Hmm.. Not used to plugin threads being more up-to-date than their BukkitDev pages =P I was worried, as I saw the authors on the BukkitDev page hadn't logged in since early March. Well, then I suppose the migration is inevitable! Thanks, Olas!
  20. Yeah.. I'm on bPermissions right now. I was thinking of hopping to PEX and ModifyWorld, but I'm noticing that neither of those plugins are supporting 1.2.5 yet. I fear that if I switch my Tekkit server over, that when Tekkit updates to 1.2.5 I'll be in the same boat again. I've got my fingers crossed that AntiGuest 1.2.5 doesn't have the same problem.
  21. Howdy, all. PEX (and ModifyWorld) are smelling as if they will become inactive when we all hit 1.2.5. Anyone using an alternate system that they can recommend to limit user world-affecting abilities?
  22. Hello Server Owners! What are you using for your greylist implementation? I recently discovered that AntiGuest (which is awesome otherwise) hinders machinery (at least the 1.1 version). How do you run your grey lists?
