Firstly, you needed to post in the Tekkit forums, as opposed to the Technic Launcher forums. Try scrolling down all the way next time and seeing all your options. Secondly, you did not follow the MANDATORY bug report format. You need to read stickies and know the rules before you post anything, ever.

I spawned a new world with Forestry turned off (as well as a few other mods I felt were bugged or overpowered). As a result, the world generated with no apatite ore. No forestry items exist on this world. Is there anything else I can do to prepare this world for transition? Because I'd like to avoid starting again. While I always love a fresh start in Minecraft, my players have made some pretty big and awesome things that they would hate to lose.

To clarify the other replies, the wrench gives a chance to give back the machine. This is not a guarantee, but it is typically a good chance. Turning an electric wrench to "Lossless Mode" will use VAST amounts of power, however, it WILL GUARANTEE that you get the machine back. Hope that helps. Losing expensive machines sucks.

Not sure if it would be possible, but I wonder if you could integrate some sort of turret cart, where "mounting" it gave you access to a cannon similar to the one from Balkon's weapon mod, and having a GUI to pre-load ammunition and other possible things needed to fire shots. Perhaps even have varying ammunition, like cannon balls, eggs, snowballs, arrows, fireballs, etc. How awesome would it be to do a drive-by egging of someone's house with a cannon? Or to have a moving mounted turret that shot snowballs at blazes in the nether? I'm not great at programming and as of now, have little idea of what can be done in a mod, so I'm sorry if this seems unrealistic.

I can't get KakerMix and Cheap Shot to love me, can someone tell me what is wrong? Seriously though, thanks for this section. I'll be all over these tutorials and ready to be terrible at this in the summer!

Hah, no problem. Cleared between 4000-7000 entities every time I used that command. EE + chunkloading blocks were always responsible.

To clarify, type "/remove drops -1" without the quotes, then try to find a machine around the arboretum that is spewing garbage.

I saw that the technic pack had one creeper on the banner while the tekkit pack had two creepers. That's like, clear-as-day singleplayer/multiplayer selection. From at least as far back as the sega genesis (first thing I remember playing).

World converter to new tekkit

I did the same thing, started a new non-forestry world. I will save the map and make sure it's backed up multiple times and then I will try any world conversions possible if it doesn't play well. I hope everything works out. We recently reset the world, so another reset would annoy a few people. -
I'll try to find some guides on Windows Movie Maker then, thanks. I tried it out and was confused. I've used iMovie which felt simpler to me, but I'll give Movie Maker another shot. Appreciate the advice.

Honestly, I think they're different enough that comparing them is silly. One of them turns the game into a fantasy RPG while the other turns the game into a hardcore realistic survival game. It'd be cool to include TerraFirmaCraft in the launcher, but no big deal. Easy enough to just mod my minecraft and swap between .jars for multiplayer vs single player.

The thing you're not getting is that there is no business here. It really does not matter at all if more people use it or less people use it. From my understanding, it was never even designed to be public initially. And yet the Technic team hosts it at their cost, makes stickies about common issues, and answers posts that follow the "how to post" stickies. That's pretty damn generous. Actions speak FAR louder than words. These people made it easy for the public to use their initially private modpack, host it at their own cost, and maintain and update it with new minecraft versions. If you think all that is undone by calling someone a moron, then I really don't know what to say. These people make no money from this, they volunteer their valuable time here, and they do help with problems when people actually put a little effort into their post. I'm sorry if they don't want to answer the same question over and over, but I wouldn't forget everything they've done over a little name-calling.

my guess is that ChunkLoader blocks WOULD work if there is at least one player in each world. Not sure though, may not be possible.

Right after Silk Touch came out it did. I think they changed it so that ice doesn't break into water anymore and/or silk touch can't get ice.
