  1. Yeah, this thread mentions that. Of course, it also mentions Norton...

    Server Glitch

This isn't a glitch. Well, it is, but it's not something the modpack creators can fix. You're just going to have to restart the server whenever you change configs.
  3. This. You don't need stone, but you do need to put the pipe into the top of the furnace. Now, if you don't have stone, you may find the engine pumping things out of the furnace when you want to pump them in. For furnaces: fuel goes in the bottom, materials to be processed go in the top, results come out any side.
  4. I'll be nice. Sort of. 1) Submit a Bug Report. There's a button for that. 2) Find the correct information for the bug report. There's...no button for that, so you're going to have to do some reading. On that note... 3) Read the stickies. There's no button for that either, but there are little push pins that tell you which threads are important.
  5. Is there a server log that shows what happens from that end? As it's your friend's server, you might be able to get it, and that might say something.
  6. Nothing is necessary to cut out of the launcher log. It looks to me like you don't actually have Java 7u5, or if you do you also have another version of Java 7, which could be interfering. Older versions of Java 7 are also not as efficient at memory management. Try hunting in your Control Panel for additional versions and removing extras. Are you running the server and client off the same computer? That can cause problems, and I would limit each to maybe 2GB to give yourself some breathing room when the trash collection hits.
  7. ...That's not a complete log. Understand why people are telling you what they're telling you: this error is extremely common, and is always caused by having Java 6 instead of 7 running, and is always fixed by correctly using Java 7. So, if you tried it, you didn't try it correctly. Go into Control Panel > Programs and Features, and remove all traces of Java 6. Then go to here and get the bit-appropriate version of Java 7 Update 5 for your OS (no, that's not specific enough, though it does have some unnecessary information in it): 32-bit for a 32-bit OS, 64-bit for a 64-bit OS. Come back after you've done that if it doesn't work. Even if it does work, come back and say thanks. :)
  8. 1) Please don't bump here. It's annoying, and if no one has helped you, they probably don't know how because you haven't provided the relevant information. 2) Is the server visible from a client? In one post you said no, but in another you said there was an error message. If it doesn't show up (no connection visible, all red or x'd out), a firewall/AV/proxy/router/whatevertheheckelse is probably blocking the connection. Find it and stop it from blocking the connection. If it does show up, have a client (or you) submit a bug report with the client's system specs and such. The launcher log is particularly valuable.
  9. Unfortunately, this is Minecraft, not Tekkit. Install Java 7, and it will most likely help, but until MC 1.3 comes out and the mods update, you may be out of luck.
  10. Look here. Follow those directions perfectly, and it will work on your server. Do not ask in here or PM me on how to get it fixed if it doesn't work. That means you didn't follow the directions perfectly. In the unlikely event that you follow them perfectly and it still doesn't work, you are...on your own. **Edit: Also, don't expect the next version of Tekkit to continue working if you install anything but Tekkit and plugins.
  11. Alternatively, adding Java to your system path will usually fix this problem. Google it to find out how.
  12. If it's Technic 7.1.0, I think it no longer has a modloader.cfg because it no longer uses ModLoader. Try simply removing the mods you don't want from your mods folder.

    Recycler Bug?

This is not a launcher bug. This isn't even a Technic/Tekkit bug. You're simply putting it into the wrong spot on the machine. It's supposed to go in the top as I recall, but that may be wrong - I haven't used recyclers more than a couple times, and never piped into them. What does your setup look like?
  14. Please post a new log, then. There will hopefully be a difference in the error message.
  15. All you should have to do with Hamachi is make sure they're on the Hamachi network and try to connect with the Hamachi IP of the computer that's running the server. You do not need to put the IP of the server into the server config file. The free version of Hamachi, by the way, has just recently limited network size to 5 people - if you have more than that, none of them work. I don't know how to port forward, as I haven't bothered trying, but if I ever want to have more than 5 people on my server, I'll need to figure it out. Try that if Hamachi really doesn't work.
  16. Odd, I have no problem using my scroll wheel. Still, there are only 5 packs, and it displays 3 at a time...clicking is probably almost as fast as scrolling. Hopefully you're not running the launcher often enough to significantly impact your daily schedule with the difference in time consumption. Oh, and I'd update Java - yours is out of date and will probably give you problems at some point in the future.
  17. There are other threads on Java for Mac, but suffice to say there is a version of Java 7 that works on Macs.
  18. Reinstalled like deleted your entire .techniclauncher folder, or reinstalled like cleared the cache and re-downloaded? Yes, it makes a difference. Get a new launcher file, even. Sometimes it fixes problems. Beyond that, I don't know what to tell you - no one else seems to be getting this error.
  19. No, but it would be hilarious if they did. I vaguely remember the earliest flash games involving machine-gunning Barney down. And yes, the teletubbies are...kind of scary.
  20. Good to hear - did you take my suggestion a couple posts above, or solve it independently? I'm just curious. You seem fairly bright.
  21. Ah, you posted a bug report! Very well done. If you don't use RailCraft, I'd turn it off. Your error is odd, and I haven't seen it before. If you really want to use Railcraft, the only option I can see is to find an older version of it that might work, and that you could configure to be the same as the one currently in Technic.
  22. The launcher doesn't do anything after it finishes running. It closes. So, it's Minecraft files, possibly something as simple as the difference in how OptiFine is configured. You really don't want to try to delete OptiFine - it works quite well.
  23. 1) It's not the same problem if uninstalling Norton isn't fixing it, is it? Post a bug report. 2) You have Java 7. He had Java 6. Nope, still not the same problem. Post a bug report. 3) What have you changed since Wednesday? Post a bug report. 4) Do you have a launcher log? That would go...in that bug report you need to post. :)
  24. Could the Technic Launcher be using a different graphics card or acceleration? Laptops like to assign random graphics card options. Does your regular Minecraft have OptiFine installed? Think outside the box a little - what's different between the two either in spite of or because of the launcher?
  25. That may mean your tablet file needs deleted so the server will make another. It's in the server file structure somewhere (same place as the alchemy bags).
