I have a laptop with the same issue (given to me for work use, but hey, if you can't play Minecraft on it...) Right-click anywhere on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel. Go to Manage 3D Settings on the left. Under the Global Settings tab, change the Preferred graphics processor to the NVIDIA card, and under the Program Settings tab, click Add next to the drop box for programs, go find java.exe and javaw.exe, and you might as well add Minecraft and the Technic Launcher as well. Apply and close. Voila!
-
No one can help. Your OS is too old to run Technic/Tekkit/YogBox. Sorry.
-
Nope. Technic, Tekkit, or otherwise without the launcher, as far as I've heard, is not now and will never be supported again.
-
We need, for troubleshooting, you to fill out, completely, the bug report form. This will include your Launcher version, Modpack and version, OS (and 32- or 64-bit), Java version (bit # as well), Antivirus you may be using, any error message(s) you may have received, and a launcher log. Failure to provide this information will probably result in you getting no help. Also, in your case, you may wish to include your computer specs, since this sounds like it might be a hardware deficiency.

I can connect to server but friends cant?
Torezu replied to Mike3715's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
I'm guessing your server and client are on the same computer. That probably means you're not port-forwarding correctly, or you have a firewall that is blocking incoming connections to the Minecraft port. You should give a little more detail, such as that found in the bug report format sticky. -
These both could be AVs blocking the download. Have either of you tried shutting off your AV before trying the installation?
-
Looking at the log, I'd guess you pulled an old world into Tekkit 3 without converting it. You may want to just start a new one, but if you don't, try following the directions in the thread on converting your world.

Just started a new server 5 minutes ago!

There's a recruitment thread in the LP section for this... -
Did you replace the NEI server file, or just add the line?
-
What version was the server on when you updated, 2.1.1 or 3.0.3? If 2.1.1, you can't just drop the update in. That would be...messy. Follow the forum thread on the subject. If 3.0.3, did you replace the files you needed to replace, per this post?
-
Sorry, I must have been thinking of the original program distribution. :
-
Please see this thread for an NEI fix. So you know, it's not TMI.
-
So...client log? That should hopefully show why the server is rejecting the connection.
-
I wouldn't ask for this, as it's illegal.
-
That can't possibly be your whole error log. I'm guessing you're using an old launcher, but something else could be wrong. Please post the whole client and server-side logs if you have both, otherwise just client.

If you were to pump the lava into tanks, an RP deployer with empty cells could probably make lava cells with the lava in the tank, and then you could move them in an Ender Chest to be moved to the overworld. The great part about those is that they stack, while lava buckets don't. The bad part: the stuff wouldn't load and run unless someone was in the Nether, and nothing but Ender Chests and player inventories can move stuff between dimensions as far as I know. There's plenty of lava in the overworld...not as much, I guess, but still plenty if you're doing anything but mass fabrication.

Whitescreen Problem with New Update
Torezu replied to kyuubi212's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
You allowed it to update. Tekkit 3.0.3 is now the official client version, so if you're still running a Tekkit 2.1.1 server, and you updated, it won't work. Delete your client version of Tekkit and switch back to 2.1.1, or start a new world, if you want Tekkit to function. Alternatively, you could try updating your world by following the instructions in the forum thread, but there are no guarantees on anything. -
Did you miss the server download link here? Or the instructions to update from 3.0.3 to 3.0.4 in the same spot? If you're updating from Tekkit 2.anything, you're probably on your own except for the update thread on the forum.

Your answer is here. Without that log, it's going to be real hard to figure out what's wrong.

[3.0.3/3.0.4] It just says that it encountered a problem...
Torezu replied to notanerd1011's question in Tekkit Classic
You're not using Java 7. This: "Java: 1.6.0_17, Sun Microsystems Inc." is Java 6, and a very old build of it. Remove Java 6 and see what happens. -
Try a fresh install of 3.0.3 on the client. It looks like IC2 is messing something up, and it shouldn't be.
