How on earth do you starve to death? Unless you're playing 1.1...look for forest, chop down a bunch of trees...apples! Otherwise, fish, farm, kill pigs/cows/chickens, you name it, it's really easy to get food in 1.2 (and before, even).

Try pushing 'O' in game. Then check the subset display to see if they're all disabled. Otherwise, NEI is broken.

If the server is on your computer, you have a server log. Post it, preferably in Pastebin or code tags, and not directly in the post.

Probably. See how my answer was about as helpful as your question was complete?

Try typing "localhost" (without the quotes) into the connection bar, if it's running on the same computer. If that works, you're doing the port-forwarding wrong.

Newly Generated World is Not 256!

I thought they were supposed to be 1024...oh wait, were you talking about RAM allocation? Seriously: more details. Bring us them. -

Looking back, I did notice that you requested a pre-built rig. Sad but true: any pre-built rig you buy will be both more expensive and inferior to any computer you could build. Why is that finance-related? If it's just because your parents would rather you spend the money on a machine that's already built, you have a perfectly logical argument to present. Better & cheaper. That's all. -
Tekkit survival multiplayer! 4 player versus!

. Are you serious? Stop posting crap all over the place...oh wait, you're probated. Heh. -
Just looking at it, I'd guess it's load order. Is NetherOres before or after IC2 in the mods folder? Also, why is no one else reporting this error when running the newest versions of the Tekkit server?
-
Negative. It'll take longer to look through and see how you're supposed to post, but he's clearly smart enough to use image tags, so it won't take him that long to work it out. If I'm going to post in a foreign language, I run it by someone who speaks it to figure out whether my post makes sense somehow. Also, searching for this exact error, in the stickies on this board would have solved his problem. Java 7, installed correctly, always fixes this issue. If you update but don't change the path or remove Java 6, yes, it's not going to work.

An answer. What do you want? You're trying to do a custom install with mods that are no longer included in the pack, and therefore aren't supported. Unless a kind soul with some magical abilities comes along to help, I think you might be out of luck.

If the tablet hasn't learned an item, putting it in the burn slot will (sometimes?) simply burn it. I've noticed this on Tekkit specifically. Try putting it in the left-hand side first. Also, is the tablet stuck on Fuel or Matter? Burning the other item when it is stuck on one will make it disappear.

You didn't fill out a bug report correctly.

You can fill out a bug report like everyone else that wants help.

Turn your IC2 machine sounds off (IC2.cfg and the Advanced Machines config file) - that resolves a lot of problems.

Dang it, Erus, I was going to say, "Yes. And stop signing your posts." You actually provided useful information! :(

Compared to building your own, it's kind of...expensive. Okay, really expensive. I could get better components (faster RAM, more HD space, etc.), most with the same or better warranty, for $600-700 US. -
OP: Have you, by chance, done the suggested for video card drivers and OpenGL checks?

Problem even loading Technic Launcher
Torezu replied to spectrosoldier's question in Technic Launcher
Run the .jar with a batch file, like the one that comes with the server (rename the file being accessed), and include a "pause" as a second line. Do you get an error (you should)? Come back and tell us what it is. Also, thanks for the bug report - for a first post, that's well done. -
Well, it's .techniclauncher, and then inside that go to the specific mod pack (technicssp for Technic), then the saves folder, then the world folder for the world you'd like to edit. There should be a level.dat inside that.

I think there's some confusion here on how ModLoader works...I'm inclined to take the word of some brilliant programmers when they say it'll be next to impossible without a large rewrite.

And, since they're slower than basic machines when they're not warmed up (and the induction furnace consumes an incredible amount of power when it's cold to boot), there's good incentive to keep them hot. You can use solar cells as a load buffer if you don't feel like running generators or a nuke plant all the time, too.

My experience with Technic, Tekkit, and it's website.
Torezu replied to DrAgonmoray's question in Technic Launcher
You may have noticed that he's been running one of the Deluxe Tekkit servers for quite some time...
