  1. There are a couple problems with this post. They are in bold, and numbered for convenient reference. 1) Unless you are not in control of your router, port forwarding is possible. It may be easier to use Hamachi, but...I digress. 2) If you don't even know how to start a server, maintaining one is going to be impossible for you. There are tutorial stickies in this board that you clearly didn't read. 3 of them, as a matter of fact. Try those first. 3) You haven't asked a question that anyone in their right mind could answer without writing a thesis, but you want an answer very soon? Try again.
  2. The command to remove all those floating blocks is "/remove items -1" (or replace -1 with distance). You don't get them back, though. You could use the Clear Water setting in Optifine to see to the bottom of the quarry.
  3. Those short tempers were gained after seeing an enormous number of incomplete or already-answered questions.
  4. Schematics are saves of sets of blocks produced by MCEdit, along with their contents and states (some glitchiness can be expected, sometimes). A save file would work just as well, but schematics are usually much smaller. Side note: I think the redstone can be supplied to any of the chambers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Also, the newest version of IC2 may let you pipe ice into a chamber as well.
  5. Real-Time Strategy: - Supreme Commander and Forged Alliance (standalone expansion). Fun in single player for the campaigns, not terribly expensive if you can get it on Steam sale. - Tiberium Wars (C&C3) and Wrath of Kane (integrated expansion). Brutal campaigns unless you put it on easy mode. - Kohan: Ahriman's Gift. Good luck finding it, and it's old-school graphics, but fun anyway. Also tough. Turn-Based Strategy: - Sword of the Stars (I and II). They're different from each other. No campaign, but single-player is fun anyway.
  6. Also, then use a piece of dye to change the new bag to a different color so you have another bag to use. Please note: you are free to put any other color bag inside one. This makes your inventory...quite expandable.
  7. It's also possible someone updated their client to the development version and the server's still at 1.1, so in that case, yeah, you'd have to remove and rebuild your tekkit folder anyway.
  8. Clearly you did not do everything right.
  9. 30 MFSUs will store 300 million EU. This is probably closer to the entire cycle of the reactor you described. I like it. Chances of a schematic file?
  10. Does regular Minecraft work - I mean, without the launcher or anything? If so, you may have something blocking write access or executables in that particular folder. If not, I'd bet on something wrong with Java. Try the executable again after your last Java reinstall. Try running a batch file with the launcher using Java and a second line that has "pause" (no quotes) in it, and see if there's an error message. Modify the server launcher batch file to use the Technic launcher .jar if you're not sure how to make one.
  11. If you're going to insult someone, at least use your grammar correctly. FTFY.
  12. If you're in control of the server, I'm sure there's a plug-in. Why not just ask your "friends" to get their explosives jollies elsewhere? Like, 20,000 blocks away, in the middle of a lava lake? >:]
  13. The Badlands are millions of meters away, 32 I think. Assuming 4 m/s walk speed (and you had enough food, so you'd probably have to stop), your map file would be freaking enormous, and you'd have spent...about 3 months just continuously walking in a straight line to get there. That's ignoring any obstacles or your unfortunate demise. The easiest way is teleporting.
  14. Socket Exceptions are usually caused by a firewall or AV, or a lack of port-forwarding. It's also possible there's a duck in your server.
  15. Try it on 512MB to start. If you have 2GB of RAM, and Minecraft is using 1.5GB, not only will it not be able to flush garbage, but Windows will probably take most of the rest, leaving you with no margin whatsoever.
  16. Try this. Look what 2 minutes with Google can do!
  17. What does no avatar mean then?
  18. You mean the Common Problems sticky? That says this? "Where are the logs for reporting a problem? Your "Logs" folder is located in .techniclauncher. The most recent will always be "launcher_0.log". For reporting bugs, take the information in that file and paste it into www.pastie.org or www.pastebin.com, and give us the link. Putting it in code tags breaks the forums tables."
  19. Let me Google that for you. After searching through results for 2 minutes: Voila!
  20. This is a different issue, but if you're assigning 3GB max to Java, and using a 32bit OS, you are going to have Out of Memory problems at some point. A 32-bit OS, Win7 or not, can only handle 3.5GB or so.
  21. Re-read the stickies. They explain where to find your log and how to post it.
  22. I think my sarcasm detector is broken. I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not. Also, does it work now?
  23. Now all you have to do is change the "e" to an "a" (in then -> than). You could also change two of the three commas to semicolons and add some quotes if you really wanted to please the grammar nazis. :)
  24. Sure. As far as finding your bin directory, I also don't run a Windows XP machine, so I couldn't tell you.
