  1. FTFY. BetterDungeons pirate air/ships and some of the other things come to mind.
  2. This, except Rebellion - I got burnt out on SoaSE (unless you can tell me it's gotten a lot better). Unfortunately, I didn't get into the D3 Beta, so...I'll probably end up buying it, unless there's a demo I can try. I am unwilling to take the word of anyone on what games are good after being told that games are crap and then playing them for years afterward because they were so much fun.
  3. A few questions: - Have you read the mandatory bug report format thread? - Are you talking about clients on the same computer as the server, or different computers? If they're on the same computer, something's probably wrong with where your launcher is or how you're using it, since the server works (and thus Java is okay). - Have you removed Java 6 after installing 7? It can cause its own set of problems if you leave it hanging around. - What do you mean by "lets no one on it?" - Are you aware that reading a thread over and over doesn't actually accomplish anything? You have to try stuff. :)
  4. There's your problem. Right there. The whole thing. You're only saying what it did, not what you did or what you have. (Hint: Follow the bug report format, and/or read the stickies.)
  5. Re: Notch has an..................interesting sense of humor With what exponent and time constant?
  6. I'm curious as to where you would find a server with this much RAM.
  7. He makes a good point. Matter and Fuel are the two different objects a trans tablet can produce. If you have it in Matter mode (have burned something in the "Matter" category), and try to burn fuel, it'll eat the fuel, and vice versa, as I recall. Fuel includes charcoal, coal, gunpowder, redstone, glowstone, blaze powder (I think), alchemical coal, mobius fuel, and aeternalis fuel. Matter is everything else. If it won't let you produce anything, though, you may have a bug.
  8. 1) Post in the bug report section. You'll probably get a better response. 2) Check in the server file structure to see if you have a tablet file. It'll be in [tekkitServerFolder]\[worldName]\dat if I recall (or somewhere nearby) and be called something like [playerName]_tablet.dat - if you don't have one, copy his and rename it to your user name. This seems like a very strange error. Posting a server log and some more information about the server and client software might help. I've never heard of this particular issue, though, and if no one can reproduce the bug, it'll be hard to help without knowing more.
  9. Most excellent. I missed the gray letters, and the Banned symbol has been changed to a title (which I just noticed), presumably to reduce wear and tear on board space. And yes, that would be fun. Also, I like the new word. It suits.
  10. Okay. I was snarky because you were, but it wasn't called for, so sorry for that. We do truly appreciate the good bug report. However, there's still some information missing, so questions and suggestions follow. 1) Can you get the client log? The path for it should be C:\users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\logs, with the latest one being the most recent, of course. Sometimes for a mis-launch of the launcher itself, there's nothing there, but you did say Tekkit worked for him, so there should be something. 2) What version(s) of Java (I assume 64-bit 7u3 or 4 now), what OS (if that's not the one listed), and what TP launcher/Tekkit version is the client running? They may not match each other or the server, especially if the client is set to "Always run Recommended Build," since that's currently...2.1.1. Hopefully, in gathering this information, you'll discover the problem (mismatched something somewhere). If not, come back and post, and you'll probably get some help. Good bug reports are...rarer around here than they should be.
  11. There is an issue with the graphical part of EE that will still show the condensed matter even after it's picked up, especially when using the long/tall/deep tool functions. You'll have the stuff in your inventory, and those orbs will just stick around until you relog or the server is reset (or everyone leaves the area for long enough). Sometimes it even only shows up for one person. Also, the condensed matter ball won't disappear until you can pick up everything in it, so if your inventory is full, or fills from picking up some of the items in it, it will stay on the ground.
  12. The weird thing with this one is the inconsistency. There's actually a 5-word stretch that has all small letters. Also, yes, it makes my eyes bleed.
  13. Ah. Got it. Regardless of the fact that he said it was a meme, it's a meme I've never seen, and it was funny to look at. Once. I can see how they might get irritating if posted all the time. Some of the rage faces are funny if the text is creative, but...most of the time it's not.
  14. 7zip comes with Windows 7, usually, so installing it is not a big deal. However, if it tells you to install that when you try to open a .jar it means your .jar files are linked to an archival tool instead of Java. That might be the cause of your problems. I'd suggest following the Make Sure Java Works route, probably by playing with the batch file and most likely by editing your system path to include Java. More details regarding what version(s) of Java you have installed (yes, you can have more than one version installed at a time, go into Control Panel > Programs and Features to look) and what file you're trying to run to get to the launcher may help.
  15. You seem to have an issue with your image tags. There needs to be a / in there somewhere...
  16. That will do it. Kill the quarries and type /remove items -1 (see how many items it kills, for fun). Then use MCEdit to repopulate the chunks. Alternatively, you could just restart the world.
  17. Weird - I'd have thought you'd probate him, unless you were waiting for the post subject to do it himself.
  18. If it's not the cache, and all the other mod packs work (Vanilla, Technic, YogBox, etc.), has it occurred to you to read the stickies in the Tekkit Bug Board? Like, say, the Common Problems Thread? It says in there, somewhere not too far down, that Tekkit requires Java 7. Now, you have Java 7, and the pastebin log says you're running Java 7, but you also have Java 6. They might be interfering with each other. I'd remove Java 6 just to be safe. Also, please don't say "latest recommended build" in your bug report. It confuses people that may not know what that is. Use the launcher and pack number. Finally, check your AV to make sure it's not blocking the port access for some reason.
  19. This is at least a bit better than previous posts. Next up are capitalization, punctuation, the correct use of contractions, and sentences. Brunswick has made an excellent sample post for you. I'll add to it my own interpretation. And, I have a different response to never having been taught to spell. You (seem to) have access to the internet. If you want to teach yourself how to do anything, there are so many resources available that it would be hard not to learn something.
  20. Batboxes only have a one-dot side, which is the output. They can accept input from any other side. Also, if you're using electric engines, unless you're critically low on resources, I'd recommend an MFE. It'll get you through the night much, much better than a batbox.
  21. Oh, you mean the sticky that directs you to the Common Problems Thread, wherein you are instructed to install Java 7 if Tekkit doesn't work? That sticky, that you supposedly read? Got it. Also, you may want to update your Tekkit server to 2.1.1, as that's the newest recommended version.
  22. This...is pretty much the best way not to get help. Also, if you're the OP, I don't think ban/probation evasion is a good idea.
  23. You won't get a lot of sympathy from me. I have two dyslexic friends that have learned how to communicate in the modern world without relying on chat speak and a total lack of capital letters. I can understand if you don't know how to spell right now, but learn how. Or don't - your choice. It's just that right now your posts are difficult to read.
  24. Incoherent post is incoherent. What did you try? I gave you a link to the page with all the downloads on the left-hand side. You'll need to give more detail if you expect any kind of help.
