I get Notepad opening the .bat file. If you do not get that, you need to open Notepad first then open the .bat file. Suggestions: - Learn to separate thoughts into coherent sentences. Your knowledge of the English language (or lack thereof) isn't the problem here. Your laziness in the use of punctuation and capitalization, and in using numbers instead of words is what's wrong. - Read the rest of the post, then look at the threads to which subsequent posters refer. - Hint: Use Java 7, not Java 6.
-
You're actually on Java 7, according to the log, or I would have said this is a Java problem. Try removing Java 6 if you still have it, and reinstalling Java 7 if you don't.
-
Learn to look around you. It's a handy skill to have in life.
-
1.) Read the stickies 2.) Download Java 7 3.) Remove Java 6 4.) Make sure your java path, system path, techniclauncher shortcut, whatever is pointing to Java 7 5.) Run Tekkit again
-
The forum tags don't work in code, and...this might cause him problems. OP, don't put the bold tags in there. (Do use the -jar, though.)
-
Recommendations: - Check the bit version of Java against your WinXP bit version - you may need to be running 64-bit Java. - Give an error message or error log instead of saying "running the .jar using java hasn't worked." That's not real descriptive, and it sounds like that might be a good solution for you and just need some tweaking to get working.

Recommendations: - Remove Java 6 if you don't need it - it's been known to cause problems. Several of the mods in Tekkit (notably IC2) require Java 7 to run. - Make sure you have the 64-bit version of Java 7. - Make sure you're pointing to Java 7, both in your game path and if needed your windows path.

There's something up with my server!

This is the point every single person besides the OP was trying to make. It's so easy to find the answer he shouldn't have even asked the question. Time and frustration saved, voila! -
That's not stupid. I've done it a few times without even realizing it. Of course, in order to be semi-realistic the game has to make them look similar.

.exe or .jar, I don't think techniclauncher has a (-) in it...at least mine doesn't.
-
You have 2GB of RAM, and the Technic Launcher, iirc, defaults to using 2GB (I'd have to re-download it to confirm that). Try lowering that (in the launcher window under Options) to 512MB and see if you still get the error.
-
You can have both at the same time. Go into your Control Panel > Programs and remove Java 6. You shouldn't need it for anything, and worst case you can always reinstall it later. You may need to change your system path to find Java 7 though.
-
It really doesn't create a log? I've had the launcher create a log every time it crashes, which your out-of-memory issue would qualify for. The launcher would not open in 32-bit Java if you don't have 32-bit Java installed. That's not possible. Suggestion: While the Technic launcher is an executable, you could create a .bat file (use any text editor) and add a pause line after running the launcher so you can see what the command window error is. That will hopefully help diagnose the problem a little better. So (in case you don't know how): Open Notepad. Type (without quotes) "C:\[launcher location]\TechnicLauncher.exe" and then on a separate line "pause", save as any .bat file, and run it.

This has been caused by too much RAM being assigned to the client. Try changing that to 512MB or 1GB if you have that much. Also, compare your Technic to Tekkit assigned memory just to see if there's a difference.

Monster spawn rates in Mo' Creatures settings don't affect dungeons or More Dungeons as far as I know.
-
It's called Peaceful. It's a difficulty setting change inside the Options menu once the game starts. It makes hostile mobs go *poof* as soon as they spawn. Occasionally a skeleton will get off an arrow, but that's it. Otherwise, just shut off your sound. :)

Like, that one sticky on the Bug Board that mentions this exact error? -

It's possible someone can help you, but it's just as unlikely no one wants to help you when you won't read stickies or follow posting guidelines. -
Are you sure you're using refined iron in the circuit board recipe? It's easy to mistake that for regular iron ingots. As far as I know, Tekkit handles this just fine.

I updated tekkit and it stoped working.
Torezu replied to arsss23's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
You should be able to delete just the tekkit folder inside the .techniclauncher folder. If you delete the whole thing, you'll also lose whatever you have in YogBox, Technic, or HSM. -
Launcher refuses to install dev version of technic.
Torezu replied to nekosune's question in Technic Launcher
I'm going to guess it's because the rec. build runs MC 1.1 and the dev. build runs 1.2.5 - there are a lot of changes, including the world data storage format, such that even vanilla MC worlds have to be converted. Now imagine adding an order of magnitude of complexity, including a couple full giant mod rebuilds, to all that... -

Torezu replied to nekosune's question in Technic Launcher
Back up your saves (not that they transfer well), wipe your technicssp folder, and run the launcher with technic 7.0.1 to fix. Upgrading, as I found out the hard way, often doesn't work well (or at all). -
You get a little (not very much) credit for re-posting to the correct board and removing your signature. The problem is that you just copied that old post and still haven't edited that one, used the bug report format, nor posted your version numbers, nor added any kind of log file. You have failed. *Disclaimer: I'm not a mod. I can make a fairly accurate prediction as to what any of the mods here will probably do to this post and/or your account, though, given your other one and the sound advice I gave in that thread.

[MAJOR PROBLEM] Automatic "Saving Chunks" on world loading?
Torezu replied to DigiDuncan's question in Technic Launcher
Interesting. That's basically the same thing I got when I tried to look at the logs on my laptop (which I don't use to play but crashed when I tried to start a 7.0.1 world). It looks like there's an NEI error when it tries to load reactor chambers. Disable NEI in mod select and accept that you're not going to have it until this issue gets bug-stomped in the development of Technic 7. The odd thing is that it works perfectly on my desktop... -
Where does one even start? Wrong section (maybe, if there's even a legitimate bug) or just no useful information at all, crap grammar, no situational context like what you actually did, etc. Are you port forwarding or using a VPN creator like Hamachi? The low effort OP is so far past low effort I believe I may have fallen asleep for a second reading it. That's what you should be doing - reading. Elsewhere.
