  1. The log says you're using a very old launcher. Download the new launcher and use it, and Tekkit should hopefully function as intended.
  2. Sigh...use the bug report format, including an error log. This type of error is so common that more information is a necessity to troubleshoot it.
  3. Huh? What does an alchemy bag have to do with...? Also, none of these contain power for charging IC2 items.
  4. That error seems to be ThaumCraft related (I'd guess), which is odd because ThaumCraft isn't in Tekkit. I'd make sure you have the correct .jar in your hosted folder.
  5. This is why I love being here.
  6. OP: Have you tried a complete reinstall instead of just updating. Last I checked, DoorFix isn't in Tekkit 3 because it was fixed in Minecraft 1.2.x, so you may have a relic from Tekkit 2 hanging around. @noneyourbuisiness: This isn't a common problem. Also, you're an idiot.
  7. Hmmmm - missing bug report format. I'm guessing you didn't update yet. Or you did and they didn't. Or...nope, that's all I have without more info.
  8. o.O Where have you found gold or diamond blocks in the BD structures? I guess there's one of each inside the top of the pirate coves, but...I've seen the iron on the pirate airships (which I don't like and don't use), but the single iron block serving as the steering post on the new pirate ships is cool. The boss of a pirate airship or large ship has a diamond block in the chest near him (and several golden apples, but those are easier to make now), which I don't feel is overkill given the likelihood that you will die several times fighting him. The top two levels of the Battle Towers under the boss feature diamond tools, and all levels have TC2 artifacts and some fairly nice items as well, not to mention the xp grinders you can make out of them...in a way, Battle Towers almost make things too easy if you hit them in the Minecraft morning and just torch all the way up to the floor under the boss, grabbing stuff from chests on the way back down. I do agree that the structures can seem quite out of place, especially the enormous castles in the snow biomes. It'd be nice if BD were better programmed and a bit better balanced, but turn the frequency down far enough and it's nice to find the rare dungeon once in a while.
  9. You will, perhaps, notice the mod-placed warning on your first post. Bumping your own post, especially only 40 minutes later, is also discouraged against the rules.
  10. I would leave both in and turn the frequency of BD Dungeons way down by default. They're just too common - most of them are cool. OP-ness is relative for these if you change what spawns in the chests. You can do whatever you want, however.
  11. It's not a .techniclauncher file - it's a .techniclauncher directory. The file is called modloader.cfg, and it will be in the c:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\[modpack]\mods folder. @Dustin: I recommend not signing your posts. It's against the rules.
  12. Or...just use a Ring of Arcana, Ring of Ignition, or Volcanite Amulet in your quickbar for the fire/lava immunity, and wear Quantum Armor - wait, that makes you basically immune too (getting the hit animation all the time is annoying, though).
  13. And...now you need Java 7.
  14. Oh, I just meant it's possible to do both class changes, but only to the modpack.jar that I know of, and .zip mods into the mods folder. I wasn't advertising.
  15. I have never, for either a Vanilla or Tekkit MC server, needed a server IP in the config file, but I've been running off Hamachi the whole time.
  16. Unless you have a lot of spare time, this particular MMO will eat your life. Fair warning. The good thing about it is that your learn skills without playing (no xp to earn, just time). Also, take the time to read up on character creation before you make one.
  17. This thread has just gone a direction in which I will not be accompanying it. Good-bye!
  18. Server and client-side logs are all normal, but you're still getting crashes? Never heard of that happening, and may be hardware-related (can be scary stuff, when hardware starts to fail).
  19. I'm going to guess you need to rename tekkit.jar to match the craftbukkitdev.jar they're using, and copy the mod files in where they're normally at when you use the server batch file. Beyond that, you'll have to ask someone at the hosting company or someone who's used them for a modded server.
  20. No. If you're getting client crashes, there's either something wrong with some other hardware/software, or you're getting error logs. Those are necessary to troubleshoot (along with the other requested information, hence the reason it's required).
  21. Sure. Lots. Right in the stickied threads that are just screaming to be read before you post.
  22. So, the tutorials in the stickies weren't at all helpful? Hmmm....
  23. No, no, I don't think...*checks*...yeah, everything (but your eyes and the connection from there to your brain) is working properly.
  24. Then...how are you playing Technic?
  25. Why would you resurrect this thread for this comment?
