Did you miss the required report format? There's an error log you're not posting.

[3.0.3/3.0.4] Tekkit Server wont start correctly
Torezu replied to Meiz's question in Tekkit Classic
Answering this particular question gets old. It's been asked just a few times before this thread. Use the search bar. Related question: Are you certain the server is using Java 7? -
Outdated Client for tekkit clanforge server
Torezu replied to Rose Human's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
3.0.3 client is compatible with 3.0.4 server. 2.1.0 client isn't. Delete your client computer's tekkit folder (or just Clear Cache on tekkit, does basically the same thing), double-check version number, and reinstall. -
And...did you get a new copy of the launcher before you tried that? Just because it's the same version doesn't mean it's the exact same file...
-
I'm guessing it's only loading NEI? I just had to troubleshoot this problem with a friend that was trying to join my server. Check to make sure Windows Firewall or something else isn't blocking the launcher, then clear your cache and try again. A dead giveaway that something is blocking it is if the cache won't clear.

[3.0.3/3.0.4] engines don't work on server
Torezu replied to miloss3000's question in Tekkit Classic
Error messages (if any)? Error/server/client log? This doesn't sound like a bug, so...pictures of setup? -
And a launcher/server log.
-
Windows. 3.11? Also, we need an error log. That will help tell us what happened.
-
Wrong error log - that's the Java runtime log, we need the launcher log.

[3.0.3/3.0.4] Error Starting 3.0.4 Server
Torezu replied to Charles9333's question in Tekkit Classic
Looks like a bad translation. I think he's saying he tried to understand the solution but it didn't solve the problem (assuming he means he has the same problem). -
[3.0.3/3.0.4] [3.03]/[3.04] Spawning on nothing
Torezu replied to Katani_Koneko's question in Tekkit Classic
Go to your video settings and check the view distance. It defaults to Tiny -32 (!) when you first install Tekkit 3.0.3. -
[3.0.3/3.0.4] Placing generators/iron furnaces leads to internal server error
Torezu replied to Covenant's question in Tekkit Classic
Did anyone use /reload? It likes to break crafting, spawning, and placing of mod items. -
[3.0.3/3.0.4] Cannot use Tekkit mod items in server 3.0.4
Torezu replied to robert's question in Tekkit Classic
Did you use /reload at all? That breaks crafting/spawning mod items. -
Change the render distance in your graphics settings...though you shouldn't be able to see mobs far away if that's the problem.

[3.0.3/3.0.4] Tekkit Crash 1.2.5 Update (Rec Build)
Torezu replied to Welsh_Miner48's question in Tekkit Classic
1) Remove Java 6. 2) Install Java 7, if you haven't. 3) Reinstall Tekkit if it still doesn't work. -
You need to post a launcher log, not a java error log. It's in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\logs, and should have a _0 suffix.

[3.0.3/3.0.4] Connection Lost: End of Stream
Torezu replied to WolfPhoenix's question in Tekkit Classic
The launcher log looks fairly normal - I can't find anything that could be disconnecting you. This looks like an AV/firewall blocking you. -
You are using Java 6 - I would recommend Java 7. However, I would not think that would cause your problem. When you installed Tekkit 3, was it a clean copy?

Don't change the GUI numbers to zero, just the Allow numbers. Also, there is no way that I know of to disable certain key items in EE, such as the Alchemist's Stone and the Transmutation Table. I recommend disabling EE by changing the modloader.cfg file, and re-enabling it later if you want it.

Cannot connect to server
Torezu replied to Christopher D. Smith's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Did you try strapping angry cats to your shoes and running in the mud? -
Have any world backups? You could use NEI to give yourself the stuff back, or if it was in alchemy bags just recraft (or NEI) the bags...

Also, every time someone makes another thread like this without searching for an answer first, the search actually gets harder. Just keep that in mind.

I have a laptop with the same issue (given to me for work use, but hey, if you can't play Minecraft on it...) Right-click anywhere on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel. Go to Manage 3D Settings on the left. Under the Global Settings tab, change the Preferred graphics processor to the NVIDIA card, and under the Program Settings tab, click Add next to the drop box for programs, go find java.exe and javaw.exe, and you might as well add Minecraft and the Technic Launcher as well. Apply and close. Voila!
