  1. There's an EE fix linked from this thread.
  2. Yes. There's a convenient guide for world conversion, linked from this thread, that you should peruse. Just moving world files is not advisable.
  3. Please look at the contents of this thread, very carefully. There's a fix already made.
  4. Okay. That's...not enough to run both a server and client. It's barely enough to run a server by itself adequately for more than 2-3 people, while allowing for Java garbage collection. My advice? Add RAM, and until you do, run the client only and let someone else run the server.
  5. I don't mean to belittle you...wait, I do. You earned you current title and avatar. "It is not working" will not help anyone troubleshoot for you. My advice, if you actually want to get it working? Go back to the other thread and post a full bug report, or add some more detail to this one. What OS? 64-bit isn't an OS. What you can do to help: 1) You have Java 6. Upgrade to 7, and make sure it's 64-bit. 2) Close every single program on the computer except what you will be running at the same time as your server and/or client, and figure out how much RAM you have available (free to use).
  6. Wait...you said usable, not available. Usable is just how much the OS can actually use. How much do you have available (from the Performance tab in Task Manager)? I should ask for a bug report anyway, but I'm really not sure you could fill one out accurately, given the posts so far. No offense.
  7. Oh, that. Well, if you'd filled out a bug report... ;)
  8. Aaaanndd.....now you need to fill out a bug report, because that doesn't make sense, and something else is wrong.
  9. Ah, well then (you didn't say that, btw), sadly you're on your own unless you can find someone with more Linux expertise.
  10. I like the new Idiot tag, though, that's pretty funny. :)
  11. There isn't a good reason you should be running two java processes if you don't have anything that you can see running, though it doesn't seem like they're using much memory. The key combination is [Windows Key]-[Pause/Break], or go to System in your Control Panel. Another way to find the same thing is to look under the Physical Memory section of the Performance tab in your Task Manager. The amount of RAM you have and the amount you're not currently using will be under Total and Available on the left-hand side.
  12. Please see this thread. I have resolved the nVidia issue with the nVidia control panel options.
  13. This is...not a hard drive free space problem. You certainly don't have 278GB of RAM...or at least, it's extremely unlikely. Push Windows-Pause/Break and see how much Installed Memory you have. If you're using a significant portion of it for something other than the server, there won't be enough left to run the server, and that means you probably shouldn't be running the server on this computer, and you certainly shouldn't be trying to run both the server and the client on this computer.
  14. How much memory does your system have? Also, next time start a new thread for problems like this...we're cluttering up a nice guide thread.
  15. Break it with an electric wrench on lossless mode and reinstall it. At least, that's what I'd do. Tekkit can sometimes just glitch like this.
  16. Did you completely miss the useful links thread in General Tekkit, wherein you will find this thread?
  17. This means you need to add Java to your system path.
  18. This is an SMP EE issue, and not a Tekkit bug. It's been this way since at least the last version of Tekkit. Make sure you have the correct fuel to fill buckets or use the C/R features.
  19. Yeah, we need the whole log. Did you try clearing the cache and reinstalling?
  20. The usual cause of this is using /reload after the server has been started. There are several threads already up about crafting not working as intended.
  21. Quit using Vista? You're going to have to be more specific, provide a log if you can, and/or post pictures. Also, the usual solutions are to clear the cache, make sure you're not trying to use a texture pack that isn't compatible, and get a new launcher.
  22. Search, don't ask. It's been all over the forums for the last 3? (few, at least) months.
  23. Then...you didn't do it correctly. You're trying to allocate too much memory to Java for the server.
  24. Why do we have 3 different people asking slightly different but possibly the same question, without reading the stickies? The answer is in the Common Problems and Solutions thread for all to read. It's here. Otherwise, Google is your friend - do a little reading.
  25. Yes. You can read the stickies, particularly the one that says "Common Problems and Solutions".
