A quarry doesn't run on EU, which a batbox provides. You may want to read up on the different mods and their respective power sources, along with ways to convert between them.

This message is the result of a Talisman of Repair being put on a pedestal. Remove it, and the message goes away. Just use the thing in either an alchemical chest or alchemy bag.

Having problems logging into a server
Torezu replied to alexnicnac's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
I wasn't being negative - I was answering an extremely obvious question with the tiniest bit of sarcasm. I just hope you don't lose too much from your inventory. -
Having problems logging into a server
Torezu replied to alexnicnac's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Gee, ya think? On the side of possibly a solution, you may just need to have your [player_name].dat file removed from the server. -
There should be an error log.
-
AVG is most likely the culprit, so it's social engineering time for you. :)
-
See if Windows 7 saved a backup of your world folder that you could just copy over the deleted one. This is assuming you're using Windows 7.
-
Why would you just delete the folder instead of removing it through Control Panel? That makes sure (kind of) everything is actually gone.
-
There may be a few threads on this error (those are the first 3 in a Google search), and they all say to look at the stickies. That is, of course, something you should probably be doing anyway. I'm guessing you need to either update to Java 7 or add Java to the system path.
-
It could be RedPower pillars (smaller vertical blocks), in which case you'll need a handsaw and the recipe for pillars. They're composed of some other microblocks, though I honestly can't remember the recipe off the top of my head.

i cant change my mods for technic launcher 1.0.1.3
Torezu replied to Champ5champ's question in Technic Launcher
Did you try...shaving your legs and jumping in lemon juice? -
... Anyway, this is most commonly caused by an antivirus/firewall blocking either the downloads or access to the mods folder(s). Check to make sure nothing is doing that, and it should work.

1) Why is this a guide? 2) There's a suggestions thread. 3) There's another thread that already has this subject. 4) Aether's already been suggested, and dismissed, just a few times. 5) So have all of LOOK3's suggestions, for being too unstable, being single-player only, or using too many block IDs.
-
Recommendations: 1) Get a new keyboard. 2) Read the stickies. 3) Google "can't find Java directory" - it tells you how to fix it. 4) Fill out a bug report next time.
-
Also, make sure you delete older versions of Java, as they can confuse the issue quite a bit.
-
Bug report? Error log? We need more information. Please read this thread.
-
That's why I said "this exact error (for a different mod)" - the solution is the same, though.
-
It's not actually the CP&S sticky, but it is still a sticky that shows this exact error (for a different mod) and the solution.

Chunks don't load when logging into server
Torezu replied to shadowst17's question in Tekkit Classic
No, that should be fine. I mean, a load of solar panels, depending on what exactly that means, can cause lag, but not game-ending unless the server's already overloaded. Try to minimize splits in wire channels, using batboxes/whatever and transformers where needed. That TileEntityData packet is probably an EU packet that wasn't getting routed correctly. -
Chunks don't load when logging into server
Torezu replied to shadowst17's question in Tekkit Classic
EU loops (feeding output from MFSU back into MFSU, whether some of it does elsewhere or not) is really hard on a server - check for that. Do you have pictures of your electrical setup? Other typical massive lag-inducing problems come from out-of-control quarries dumping items, out-of-control piping system dumping items, condensers dumping items...see a pattern here? ;) -
Servers without this don't just move players to the ground - they kick flying players. This isn't the problem.
-
Yes and no. Technic includes several mods like BetterDungeons, Mo' Creatures, Thaumcraft 2, etc. that Tekkit doesn't and can't because they're not multiplayer compatible. So, they do offer different experiences, and you can play Tekkit singleplayer if you wish. Neowulf's explanation was just the simpler one.
-
Resin, however, does have an EMC value. It's not even a particularly large EMC value, either. **Edit: Dangit, Jay?, stop ninja-posting on me! ;)

Update to Java 7. Then let us know if there's any kind of error message in the console when you run the batch file.

[3.0.3/3.0.4] Some EE Items Not Working on Server
Torezu replied to Aelle's question in Tekkit Classic
I know SMP EE does some strange things. For example, the amulets don't let you walk on water/lava, I've had 50% or less chance of getting the projectiles to work, and I'll often have to activate and then deactivate a ring before it will fire projectiles. It seems to be an EE problem, not a Tekkit bug, unfortunately. On the other hand, Archangel's Smite has always worked perfectly for me as long as I had fuel or a klein star in my inventory...
