Launcher refuses to connect to web and/or eat his veggies
Torezu replied to Alskf's question in Technic Launcher
Also, the most recent log shows you're using an older launcher. Are you sure you're running the same new one you're downloading? We're on 1.0.1.3, you're on 1.0.1.1. -
technic launcher will not look for java in the Program files (x86) folder
Torezu replied to festivefire's question in Technic Launcher
Sooo...put the java bin directory in the system path? -
NEI Loaded "Inventories" not available in SMP
Torezu replied to Alexch2's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Someone may have patched NEI to keep people from cheating with that particular feature (massive exploit). If it's your server, I have no clue. -
Losing items when having no internet connection
Torezu replied to Guitarpro's question in Tekkit Classic
Ummm, the same thing? There's a tablet file as well in the same folder, if you created a tablet and learned anything on it. -
some questions about the java initialization of vm error
Torezu replied to tomixx1199's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
1) Try to avoid the Wall of Text. It's hard to read and understand. 2) Why would you buy a new computer that only has a 32-bit OS instead of upgrading the old one with more memory? 3) A 32-bit OS can handle up to 3.5GB (or so) of RAM total, with all programs running. It's pointless to have 8GB with a 32-bit OS because it can never use more than 4. -
Losing items when having no internet connection
Torezu replied to Guitarpro's question in Tekkit Classic
Those are linked to player name. You can change the file names temporarily to, I think "bag_Player[bag#]" instead of your name (in the tekkit\saves\[world name]\data folder) and you should have access to them. -
If the mods still don't show up, but the launcher loads, you have an error log. That'll hopefully tell us what's wrong.

[3.0.3/3.0.4] I'm the only one who can connect to my server.
Torezu replied to CosmicCreator's question in Tekkit Classic
It's probably ipchicken.com - same general idea as whatsmyip.org. My problem with this whole post is that he doesn't say what he's tried, and a typo on a web address indicates a very low-effort post, and that means (probably) matching low-effort troubleshooting. -
[3.0.3/3.0.4] Some EE Items Not Working on Server
Torezu replied to Aelle's question in Tekkit Classic
Do you have a server log? That might show a problem. Also, are you running any plugins that might be interfering? -
There's a server-side fix for this available. Search in General Tekkit.
-
Better. If you really don't have an error log, your AV or firewall is probably blocking the downloads. Shut it off, add an exception for java, Minecraft, and the launcher, or just completely uninstall it and get a free one that works better.
-
Also, update your texture pack. That's most likely your particular problem.
-
Cool story. Next you should post a bug report so we know what's going on inside your system.
-
Maybe. There may even be someone willing to post a solution just as soon as you decide to post a bug report.

White Screen on world load after clearing cache
Torezu replied to brett kim's question in Technic Launcher
If the launcher starts, it makes a log. Get that, and then read and follow the bug report format - the rest of that information isn't useless. If you're running a 32-bit OS, for example, dedicating 1.5GB of memory to Minecraft, unless you're running nothing else (and sometimes even then), will make it crash every single time. -
IC2 also has a built-in blocker in the config file.
-
@Wgd: Why are you threadjacking? To answer all questions regarding opening inventory crashing your game: It's highly likely that your inventory has a corrupted item in it. This usually means you have to delete your player.dat file from the server file structure. You lose your inventory (bag contents should be okay), but it will typically stop crashing you. If it doesn't, NEI is broken and I'd reinstall the client first, then the server if the client doesn't fix it.

I'm guessing you're trying to use a forward-slash like you do in-game. You don't need that on the server console.

[3.0.3/3.0.4] Some EE Items Not Working on Server
Torezu replied to Aelle's question in Tekkit Classic
Some of these items require fuel. For Archangel's Smite, 'g' doesn't do anything, 'r' should activate/deactivate the arrow chaingun, r-click is a single arrow, l-click is a pack of them, but they all consume fuel - i.e., if you don't have a klein star in your inventory, they stop functioning rather quickly. The Void Ring will teleport with 'r', pull in and compress items with 'g' (in the quickbar or a bag/chest), and r-click will remove lava or water - these are all free as far as I know. Pedestals are just broken. -
Did anyone on the server use /reload? It breaks crafting.
-
Regular Users Can't Craft Mod Items.
Torezu replied to Sullivan's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Don't use /reload. Also, don't sign your posts. -
Transmutation tablet can't be disabled without disabling all of EE as far as I know. Tough luck, I guess. Teleports in EE are the VoidRing - you disable that, people can't use EE to teleport. What is an endercher? If you mean EnderChest, that's not part of EE.
-
You may want to put this in the right section, with the bug report format. I'd guess you need to get the newest launcher, clear cache, and reinstall, making sure your AV isn't blocking downloads (you have fewer mods than you should).

Try the email address you used at Mojang instead of your login name.
