  1. Quarries go through water. Keep water in quarry to turn lava into cobble/obsidian. Oil is the only real problem. When I found oil I just moved the quarry >.< Or I guess you could collect it for fuel for combustion engines or galacticraft.
  2. Loving template frames right now. Got a powerless bore running in the nether and a mining well station that goes from sea level to bedrock in 3 seconds. It's great that qcraft portals work on frames even after moving
  3. In your reactor setup how much power are you feeding the actual fusion reactor?
  4. I'm just starting out with reactors, not looking forward to making turbines right now... But let me just check if I understand one concept first. Couldn't you have one more ring of water on the outer edge of the outer magnets in your design that would generate steam? It sounds like you're already at the limits of RF transfer, but I wanted to check if I at least understand that much so far lol. Also how many chemical extractors does it take to generate enough deuterium for a single reactor to run non-stop? Is 1 enough or does it take more?
  5. an actual log tends to help. exception in server tick loop is an extremely general crash...
  6. Rifts with traps in them usually have chests too. But traps tend to blow them up.
  7. Don't some mobs spawn in light 7 or less? Could the issue just be that 1 light level?
  8. It's easier to get started with other mods. Make a simple TE or BC ore processing station to increase your ingot income from mining. Galacticraft is pretty resource intensive.
  9. Engines will not work with any TE machine, you need to use Dynamos. Just search Dynamo in NEI and build the steam dynamo. It needs water and standard furnace fuel to run. You can either manually supply water or just build an Aqueous accumulator under it for easy water.
  10. Did you disable MFR ice? It seems the MFR ice doesn't work Also, you used portals, not teleporter?
  11. ^^^what rover said. Tekkit has a lot of mods installed and the more mods you have the longer it takes to initialize all of them. Sometimes mine says not responding too but i just have to wait and it loads.
  12. Im just using TE terrain smashers. My bore uses no pwer whatsoever atm. Thanks. Ill give them a try :)
  13. Placing a peaceful table in the nether allows you to get nether drops. It might need to be placed in a fortress. I haven't actually done this but considering you can put one in a fortress to get wither skulls it should work for blaze rods too.

Go into your main tekkit folder and find the most recent forge log, likely named ForgeModLoader-client 0 and open it, after a crash. scroll to the bottom of that log and from there, scroll up until you find the first error after the last line about sending event FMLServerAboutToStartEvent, it'll likely be right after a line that looks like this: [INFO] [STDOUT] Loading Dimensional Doors save data... Or at least it will be if I'm right... I had the same error last night after my computer crashed and corrupted some stuff, but managed to recover it. oh and there will be time and date stamps in that line too of course.
  15. If I remember correctly if you can find a cluster of rifts in the overworld as they destroy other blocks around them they drop world threads. Another option is exploring rifts. You can find the threads in rift chests.
  16. So a while back in Tekkit lite there was an issue with nether ores config making the ores spawn in only the top few layers of the nether. I have since used this to make automated mining bores to crawl across the top of the nether for immense profit. The problem I have now is I want to make a wireless switch using wireless redstone CBE or something similar. however it seems that once the receiver activates and moves the bore forward, it gets stuck in its activated state, leaving the options of requiring a manual reset every time or having to go to the nether to turn it off if engine is on continuous mode. Anyone have any workarounds for this? I'm guessing the problem lies with the way RIM converts everything it moves to an entity momentarily or something. Sadly the same problem prevents me from using Dimensional doors to put a moving warpdoor on it too
  17. Plain and simple it is almost identical to the buildcraft pump, except it replaces the lava it pumps with stone to avoid block updates, and has a built in chunkloader.
  18. Powering GC machines seems to be a bit buggy. Try just making a coal gen and energy storage, place them next to each other and charge batteries, then use batteries in the circuit fab. That's what I did.
  19. I didn't think TE power worked with GC, but if it does that's good to know lol.
  20. I didn't see this posted but just did this and it worked so figured I'd mention it here. For galacticraft in order to power the circuit fab with a coal gen you place the fab down, then place the coal gen to its left BACKWARDS, so that both of the machines' left sides are touching. Insert coal, get power, make wafers, win life.
  21. So according to some of the spotlights of food plus I've seen, caramel is made from smelting sugar, but that makes sugar charcoal. Is there a recipe conflict preventing caramel from being made or is there some other way of obtaining it?
  22. Diamond can't mine the nether ores(cobalt and ardite), I believe you need to make a steel pick to mine them.
  23. Glad Im not the only one that thought these are pokemon and I'm wondering the same thing. Their AI is terrible so they're basically just eyesores that move a bit.
  24. The best BC engines IMO (Steam and magmatic) came frome TE anyway. They're just called Dynamos now, and there are 4 of them. Power is now called Redstone Flux or RF, but all TE power lines/cells are capable of outputting BC power as well, if needed. Conversion is 10RF=1MJ
  25. Do you mean Minefactory Reloaded? It has an item collector but as far as I know it can't collect liquids at all. Fluiducts are Thermal Expansion's version of liquid pipes, the only problem with them is they can't directly collect liquids themselves(probably). Without some kind of pump or chunk loader in this pack magmatic dynamos are basically useless without additional mods.
