Universal Electricity... It is used to craft with stuff from MFFS and Atomic Science..
-
You cant charge them... Maybe in the MFFS system haven't tested it yet though. Why do you want to charge them anyway?
-
Are you pumping lava from the nether? I was in 1.0.6 then I updated to 1.1.5 and the sever was super lagy... So I had to delete the nether.

I run mine on 4GBs for 4 people...

I was so bumed after that... took a wile to get everything back. Four more episodes are up. Not to sure If I should update this more often, or just keep doing it in large chunks. Episode 19: MFR Farms Episode 20: Pink Slim Raid Episode 21: Bio Fuel Episode 22: Auto Enchanting

Check the NEI

My sever has 1-2Mbps up. So yours is fine. Dose the sever ever say it is overloading? You can try to increase the ram. One thing that kills my sever is pumping lava from the nether... What are other people doing on your network? It could be your router... If there is a lot of people doing stuff on the internet and if you have a weak router they that can really slow down the response with the sever. (Like youtube, netflix or really any large downloading/uploading) If you can, I would hardwire the computer. A desktop wireless card like the thumb drive ones, it could be to weak...

Yes that will run the sever just fine. I would still reinstall the OS. I dont know why this happens. But when computers get old they slow down a lot. Part of it is cause the hard drive is a mess of files, so a OS reboot really helps you.

Transferring a Single Player Map to local Server
00Ducky replied to Pilotdude25's topic in Tekkit Discussion
The easiest way i can think of is running the sever... Then copy your save files over. Make sure when it asks to over wright files you tell it to skip. -
If you can re-install the OS, and upgrade the ram then do it. You could get 8gbs for around 50 bucks. 4gbs will work for 3 people but with 667MHz you wont be processing much fast. The price for 4gbs to 8gbs is so small it doesn't make much sense to get fast 4gbs of ram.

Clearing out a LARGE Area and creating epic stone stairs
00Ducky replied to G4mersCom's topic in Tekkit Discussion
The filler works nicely. In the interface, you use glass to clear the area and brick to fill. If you want stairs just place the brick like you would to craft stairs then give it the blocks and it will place them for you. -
Yes you are right. I wright most of my programs on one computer and then copy them over to the computer that is used for what ever I need it to.
-
In tekkit no. In tekkit lite it worked. Ill check the config file, maybe you can change it there.

I thought that was a redpower dispenser? Turtles would be your best bet. You can get XP as well just have water over top of them flowing to one side. The program is simple to. while true do turtle.attackUp() end Some thing along those lines.

I find computer craft a little bit easier to under stand. But with rednet you can have 16 channels, some day ill get around to learn it. A simple code the repeats would look like this. Type: edit longpules (or what ever name you want it) s = 1 repeat rs.setOutput("back",true) sleep (12) rs.setOutput("back",false) sleep (1) until s == 0 BAM! To save press (not hold) Ctrl and use the arrow keys and enter. To run the file just type the file name. You can set the out put to be any side. top, bottom, left, right, front and back. The program will repeat forever unless A: You leave the game or B: the sever shuts down Once the program starts you cant control the computer... You can terminate its >.> mission by holding Ctrl and T

Dim doors or Mystcraft in the end will look pretty much the same. Wasn't there teleporters in tekkit lite? I think it was a mod of IC2.

What's your liquid storage solution?
00Ducky replied to Montego_Cardoso's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Here is my setup: First a tesseract that lets the liquid in. Then a rectangle of liquiducks. five tanks on each side, one at each end. so in all it is a 5x3x8 of tanks. At the bottom there are liquiducks with rednet cable on each one, the liquiducks go to a tesseract that lets the liquid out. It works really well for me. -
Yes but we are talking a few hundred megabits. Not 4 or more gigabits.

Well how much would you use that old laptop? I have never tried using a SSD for a sever, but for general computer use, it is really helpful. Programs/files load super fast. I do a lot of work with photos and videos, and being able to load many full HD videos at once is awesome! I would go with more ram before a SSD for a sever.

Wow dude thank you so much! Four more Episodes coming at you! Episode 15: Auto Crafting Episode 16: Looting and Grinding Episode 17: Broken Planter Episode 18: Naked Sheep

Okay guys thanks for all the help. I feel bad now cause it wasn't something super technical. It was just a chunk loader in the Nether... Derp... I removed it in 1.0.6 put the world on 1.1.5 and bang, it worked fine. I put the chunk loader back in the nether and so fare everything is working fine. I am going to have to delete the nether cause there is so much moving lava there. Not from pumps but from quarry's (Witch I have done in the past and never got this problem) It is still weird to me how when I remove it in 1.0.6 and switch it over to 1.1.5 everything works fine. I then put it back down with no problem.... But if I switch with the chunk loader down it is super lagy.... Thank you once again for all the help.

I did have a few different versions of Java. So i uninstalled them and started over. I downloaded java 64 and still no luck. I turned the MFR lakes off and nothing changed.
-
java -Xmx4G -Xms3G -jar Tekkit.jar nogui pause ^The text in the launch.bat file^ The weird thing is I ran a the 1.1.5 sever with out the world file, I used the same sever settings and everything. Just left out the world folder. And it worked fine... So it must be something in my world. I deleted all forcedchunks files and demdoors worlds, and it didn't changed a thing. EDIT: The sever only uses 1.5gb of ram no matter how much I give it.

I gave it 3 or 4... Ill have to check. But it was only using 1...
