Slowpoke should change his name to Fastpoke. Then maybe FTB would get higher FPS for me and I'd actually be able to play along with Direwolf in his upcoming season 6 LP. =/
-
MagicWorld 2 anyone? *I only know this pack by name, but based on it I'd say its a heavily magic oriented pack.
-
The site and launcher died when Tekkit came out, and Hexxit couldn't download for a while after it came out, but other than that it's been fine for me.
-
No, I think you just have bad timing. Technic has been very reliable for me the month I've been a member of the forums. I have been playing Tekkit for probably about 4 -5 months before I signed up.
-
Well, ok then. Personally I wouldn't expect that from random internet strangers, and find it a bit silly that the OP even thought up an application. Then again, he/she/it is jerlegol, so why wouldn't people be lining up?
-
Ahh. Really though, awesome people who don't want to give up their computer to some stranger on the internet who isn't willing to pay himself....
-
I don't get it. Is free hosting a thing? Why does jerlegol expect somebody to give him a server?
-
o_O That's a lot of RAM. 2GB is plenty for me, but whatever floats your boat. You may need it for Hexxit.
-
Yeah, I used to have that problem. It's also a good idea to only have one version of Java on your computer, although if you use a 32 bit browser you will want to keep your 32 bit installation as well. Just go to www.java.com and follow the steps. Its simple enough.
-
The problem may be that you have a 64 bit OS but only 32 bits of java. In that case you simply need to uninstall 32 bit java and install 64 bit java.
-
Did you make sure you are running the same version of Tekkit as the server?
-
I don't play that much either. . I'm more of a Tekkit person. I'll look it up later.
-
Any. I see you can still download the original launcher from there. Maybe if somebody wants to play some retro technic pack (the actual pack) they could dl that? Also it's .net not .com.
-
I'm afraid this is the wrong place. Tekkit Classic has it's own dedicated discussion section. Maybe you could ask for help at the plugin's site or the Server Op Swap Shop section?
-
I don't play Big Dig, so you will have to enlighten me as to what this is. Are these generated structures from some mod? It looks pretty sweet.
-
Umm.... I don't know if anybody will want to help you run a server if they don't even know which version of Tekkit it is. In the first post you say it's classic, then below that you said it's lite.
-
Don't worry about that. Just set the pack as 'hidden' on the edit page or when you create the pack until you are ready to release it.
-
Ehh... that 7770 and i5 sounds pretty nice. Maybe you guys could give me a price point for a decent computer with those? 8 GB ram, hard disk, a decent case, etc. Then I'll have an Idea if how much money I'll need to save.
-
I have a monitor, mouse, and keyboard I could use. Nothing else. This is purely hypothetical, I'm not planning (more hoping. ) on a new machine in the near future.
-
Ok. So, what is the best computer you would get (completely from scratch) for about USD 500?
-
Mm-hmm. I would feel more comfortable if I just used some antistatic stuff instead.
-
Is it literally that easy?

How to create a server for your custom-modpack
dwwojcik replied to nextcode's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
I assumed that you were providing a guide for creating a server package for download from a custom mod pack's page. If somebody followed your guide to put together such a package and offered it for download they would indeed be distributing a modified version of Mojang's software. Yes, deleting this thread would probably be a good idea.
