Make sure your client is set to Recommended Hexxit version, if thats the case your serverfiles are outdated. Get the current ones http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/hexxit/Hexxit_Server_v1.0.5.zip

Please read http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/setting-up-a-hexxit-server-fix-crashes-dupe-glitches-griefs-more.50495/ on how to ban items.

@Xegaj2: please upload the full crash report, see Sektion 4 in my first post. @meepaleep: same as above, read and follow Sektion 4 of my guide.

Rightclick the Technic Launcher, click "Run as Administrator"

Now I understand the forum here. The users help each other and the mods keep us entertained. Bravo jester! Here have a hering so you can cut down that mighty tree over there. @Yorkshire the problem me and the other jokers here are having is following you. You say you already tried everything that is possible, so what do you expect from us? If you want us to list options that you may not have considered please list the actions you have taken so far. eg. Reset the Modpack, Redownloaded Technic Lauchner, Uninstalled and Reinstalled Java, Set the PermGen size, Increased RAM for Technic Launcher, examining logfiles for potential reasons, Rebooting PC, reinstalling Graphic card drivers, reinstalling Sound card drivers, and so on. As you see the list is long and maybe you even tried a few more. So if you are here to request help please provide more information.

Just do a backup of your files and then reset your modpack. I'm not gonna upload files that you can download via the Tekkit Launcher and I don't think anyone else will.

I just installed Optifine and it worked without and updating or so. This is what I did: 1. Download http://optifined.net/adloadx.php?f=OptiFine_1.5.2_HD_D5.zip 2. Open the OptiFine file and the Hexxit modpack.jar in 7zip (WinRaR also works) 3. Copied content from OptiFine file to modpack.jar and deleted META-INF folder in the modpack.jar 4. Ran Hexxit and enjoyed OptiFine. Before you do that however make sure your Hexxit works fine, so do a modpack reset and join a world to see if the basic Hexxit is ok, then add OptiFine.

Hello folks, I need some help getting swords to render in the sword pedestal. I added the Tinkers Construct ID's for some swords (6316 6322 6327) to the LegendGear.cfg. I can place my TC swords in the pedestal now but they become invisible once in the pedestal. I can take then out again and use them as usual. So as far as I can tell the problem is with the rendering only, the game mechanics work fine. Does anyone know how to fix this? PS: This happens both on SP and my MP server.

@Xegaj2: Please don't tripplepost, its only cluttering the Thread. As for your problem, despite you saying you set the permgen your Hexxit is running without it. Your crashreport sais: "JVM Flags: 1 total; -Xmx3072m" it should say "JVM Flags: 2 total; -Xmx3072m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m" or so. Please check again if the permgen is really set. If that doesn't work start the launcher with as Administrator and/or re-download the launcher from the website.

Make a backup of your Hexxit folder and then do a Modpack reset. Since this is working file for everyone else I guess your MapWriter mod got corrupted. Guide on how to do a reset http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/technical-problems-we-can-fix-that.50935/
-
So many things are wrong here. 1. No logfile or copy of the actual error message. instead only your interpretation. 2. You are trying to run the minecraft_server.jar instead of the Hexxit.jar 3. If you want to give Hexxit more RAM you need to edit your launch.sh file and change the values there. You can use M to specify Megabyte or G for gigabyte, meaning -Xmx1024M and -Xmx1G are the same thing.

Possible solution for you guys if you are still having problems: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/technical-problems-we-can-fix-that.50935/

I have yet to find those but my guess is they are designed to kill you if you are not careful. Or free lava if you know how not to burn to death.

@Mistress_hunni My previous post was crap, I just checked the log again and it sais Java 1.7.0_17 the 1.7.025 is the current version. Update it if this is still a problem. Neospell check for that as well, if it doesn't work please post your crashlog. Details on how to are in Step 4. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/technical-problems-we-can-fix-that.50935/ you can also post it over there.
-
@newbandpro: projectzulu is the last thing your MC loads before it crashes so my guess is something with that mod screwed up. If you already did a modpack reset for your client try replacing the projectzulu mod files on the server with newly downloaded ones. @Neospell: Sounds like a firewall problem to me. You both need to check your firewalls on your Operating System and on your routers if you have any. For more info ask google on Minecraft and Firewalls, since you didn't provide any system information I cannot help you any further.

1GB option should be fine, upgrade later if needed. btw. we have a Server Admin forum: http://forums.technicpack.net/forums/server-op-swap-shop.65/

Sudden Hexxit Issues and Spontaneous Skeleton Party
Thoran replied to Schwaa El's topic in Hexxit Discussion
Try resetting your Modpack, do a backup of your World first. Instructions on how to do a Reset are in "2. Minecraft freezes on Mojang screen" http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/technical-problems-we-can-fix-that.50935/ btw. Your skeleton Party looks awesome. Nice Screenshot :D -
Wrong file. I added Section 4. in my guide, check it out and include the pastebin address here. Posting everything here makes my mouse wheel feel dissy. Also please use the Edit button under your posts, if you cannot see your post that you want to edit hit More Options. EDIT: @Max20077 Yep its a limitation of the Technic Launcher, 32bit Java on Windows can handle 1.5GB but the Technic Launcher doesn't allow more. If you want to understand the max RAM for Java problem in detail read: http://javarevisited.blogspot.de/2013/04/what-is-maximum-heap-size-for-32-bit-64-JVM-Java-memory.html
-
@Godofthemans: please post your Error log in the future on pastebin or as Code if you paste it here directly, this just fills up the thread. Also please read and follow my guide at the top, according to your logfile you didn't even increase your PermGen. @Max20077 how much RAM does your PC have and what RAM options can you select in the Technic Launcher?
-
@xaussienanny: I think thats still the old launcher, get the most recent one from http://www.technicpack.net/download @Kingbox: Could be a corrupt chunk. Check 3. and use MCEdit to check your world for problems. @Tiretowtruck: Allocate 2 or 3GB using 10GB might be too much for Java to handle. Also check if your PermGen is set. @binsr: could you please upload your crashlog to pastebin or provide me with more information? @tobias4007: Make sure you are using the 64bit version of Java if your PC is 64bit. The 32bit Java doesn't work well with a modded Minecraft. @newbandpro: maybe your deleted the wrong one or you have another band chunk. Can you upload your logfiles to pastebin or something?

I found this: http://lists.apple.com/archives/java-dev/2013/Jun/msg00055.html seems like the 1.6.0_51 Java for Apple has a bug, see if you can update it.
