What are your complete computer specs.
Processor, video card, and ram speed.

I've learned a lot from let's plays. I would know nothing of tekkit otherwise. I remember the first time I played tekkit I spent like 2 hours figuring out how to get conductive pipes to work.

Thank you very much Teraku are there any modules you would recommend I set to false? and also I am having a huge issue with disconnect.overflow and I really need help.
Disconnect Overflow means the server is trying to send more data then your bandwidth can handle.
Basically your upload speed is not fast enough. You could reduce view distance in server.properties which will send out a few less chunks to each user.

Delete your config Folder. I'm not expert but I believe Galacticraft is trying to create a block which id's been taken by IC2.

I don't think they are going to make a Hexxit-y modpack any time soon. The copying would just be too blatant.

About the Modpack
Leminscate is available for download on the Technic Platform. Click Here to download. The pack contains a multitude of mods and runs on Minecraft 1.5.2.
You can take a look at the mods it contains by clicking Permissions & Licensing. You'll recognize many from Voltz and Tekkit and notice a few new ones.
Note:
The Server is hosted on the East Coast, for low latency be sure to live there
Red Matter Missiles are banned. [black Hole is very server intensive and impossible to track]
There are no Server Rules

When do you think FTB's copy of hexxit will arive? I am guessing October.
If FTB does this I will personally go burn down Slow pokes house.

How unstable could it be. I've created a much bigger pack and it's nearly flawless after only 3 weeks or so of work. His has been out for 2 months.

Open Run
Type %appdata% & hit okay
Browse to .technic/hexxit/saves/New World
Then delete Mapwriter.cfg

Well your not alone...happens to me too,well there must be a way cause TrueMU and Caveman both play it...
Here's a suggestion swap out the original MC .jar for the hexxit one? worth a try!
The jars in both are the same. You'll need to extract modpack.jar into the Mc jar and copy over your config, mods, and Coremods folders.

Yep is looks to be ee3. I would suggest removing the ee3 mod to confirm.

You could use a gate. I'm fairly certain their in TekkitLite
You could set up a gate to turn the engine off automatically when it gets hot.
You could also use an energy tesseract to transfer power over distance. That's the only alternative I know to phase pipes and I doubt they would help much in your situation.

The servers are definitely slower then before. As freakachu said a lot of people are playing Hexxit now, it's attracted a lot of current users to play something new and probably introduced a new group of users who prefer adventure over machines.

Calclavia has released a new pack. I don't know what it contains but I'm assuming the Universal Electricity lineup.

Not like I don't believe you, but would you have a proof that it actually works. The screenshoots only show CurrentOptifine so it wont even show the version. And I can't see the Hexxit name in none of the folders.
If you have a screenshoot of running hexxit with optifine on your mac would be nice.
Also what version of Optifine exactly you installed?
Why dont you try it out for yourself? What's the worst that could happen?

Well maybe if I had other games. I own like 300 games over steam origin and uplay but I choose to play Minecraft all day.
