  1. Cool. Myself i use gate, doesnt demand the same strain on the server to have gate than computer programs running on forever loops, i think dont know. I have a setup where i have 50 magmatic engines running, putting power into 10 REC, recently upgraded from 10 engine and 2 REC, but the system is the same. It doesnt work with half full or half empty, cause the gates cant test for that, they have only "battery empty" "can store power" "battery full" or atleast mine does. But all my engines and my lave pumps all turn off when my RECs are full, and when just 1 can store power, they all start up for a split second until the power have been restored, it works, its reliable and easy to setup.
  2. I love this suit, the all in one thing is just awesome, not to talk about the fact that u can personalize it with coloring. But it being up? Maybe, but not really, if wanna die, u die, but if u play smart u dont die. And yes the first installments har expensive, but why do u want an armor that gives protection like vanilla armor but costless? If u think the suit is to expensive just use diamond armor. Btw, u say u die to easy ? Do u know that u have to tinker with the armor for it to work? After u install something u have to choose, how much effect u want, more effect = more weight, and to much weight u cant walk. So yes i can make urself pretty much op and take 0 dmg, but then u are to heavy to walk.
  3. U are. The Chemical Extractor only got 1 side where it can accept power, the back. Or atleast that was my conclusion when i couldt power it up from redstone energy cells. And if u send in power from the back, u can use both pipes and conduit.
  4. Anywhere i can see a changelog from 1.1.7 to 1.1.8 ? Or was nothing changed?
  5. If u have no bukkit plugins u dont need MCPC+. And what errors might u have ? Kinda hard to help u, and tell u what u are doing wrong since we dont know the errors. 1 reason for Launch.bat is messing up might be that u tell it to use more RAM that u have ? Another could be the port u are trying to use for mc is allready in use. But again cant help if i dont know whats wrong. I havnt used worldedit on a live server, but i was told it was only for offline editing?
  6. I found it. I didnt realise the game had a new recommended build, so looked for server files here in the forum.
  7. Title says it all. Is the 1.1.18 update only for clients or is there something for servers also?
  8. I hope someone can help me with this. Everytime i logs out my waypoints on the moon, and other dimensionens disaper, they dont show when i log in again. But overworld and nether works fine. Its like it doenst load the waypoits for when i go to the moon. But the waypoints are saved correctly in the waypoint file for that dimension, and they dont get deleted from the file. I just cant see them.
  9. Why would anyone wanna know what everything does from start? Just start a survival map, and play it survival style, then research the machines when u need them, or when u need a specific function to work. That worked for me. And the good thing about tekkit is that there is almost only 1 machine to do stuff, so u dont have to look up and compare 3 machines every time u wanna build 1. Just throw urself into in and see where it goes. Dont think u are gonne find anyone who wanna help a stangers kid when u havnt even tried anything or look anywhere on ur own.

  12. Thats some big clock. Would prefer having them smaller, dont want the clock to be bigger than the farm And ress is no problem, got plenty of quarry running all the time.
  13. Basic clocks with redstone i know of. never really used them though. But what i was looking for was a timer to send a pulse out every 5+ min, for using in farms and such. ill try looking into PRC, or the CC Computer API, should be that hard to make a clock if the basis for it is implementet allready. But dont know.
  14. In classic there was a timer from redpower mod. It was awesome and very usefull. But i havnt been able to find anything like it, in the pack? Anyone else had better luck?
  15. all my stuff was created in 1.0.6 and works fine, i get heat and get cooled just fine, in overworld. In nether though im only getting cooled if i have the cooling system on, and the same thing goes with newly made item all from scrath. I cant remember if cooling without cooling system worked in 1.0.6 cause i have had it as long as i can remember. If it does could it be that the modder made changes ? In my head its kinda obvious that passive cooling doesnt work in nether cause there is lava all around, and its so hot that all water waporates instantly, so why should passive cooling work? But maybe thats just me.
  16. I got same results. I think i figured it out though, so its not broken, its just not very how it works, or if the way it works is intensionl but i think it is. 1 tesseract can max transfer x energy on the ouput side, it can take more than the max in, (default 100), but in order to do so, it need input on all sides. First side 80, and then lower and lower, when input on 5 sides, and u give it plenty of power, it will output 99. When u give it 100 in from 1 REC side but divide it out on 5 sides on the tesseract it will output 75, and the 25% loss is then correct. Further more i found out that the 20mj/t i thought was going nowhere, doesnt go nowhere, its just a graphic problem, that the REC shows 100 disapering from it and only 60 going out of tesseract. Its only the 80 that the tesseract needs that goes out. So all in all, this doesnt seem to be a bug after all, u just have to do alot of testing and stuff to figure out how they work. :)
  17. Found out why. All item ids was changed in the update.
  18. I just saw that when i updated yesterday, this new version kinda breaks allready placed floodlights. They still work but are now invisible, and if u change their state from what they where prior to update, this will disaper dropping nothing.
  19. I found that to. But checked with machines, and the output from REC and input on machine matched, no loss. But still 5% of 100 is 5 not 20 :)
  20. From mod creators website: As of version 2.4.5.0, there is NO ENERGY LOSS. (http://thermalexpansion.wikispaces.com/Redstone+Energy+Conduit) Version in modpack: 2.4.6.0 So they shouldnt do any energy loss. But before this change they lost 5% energy no matter the distance traveled.
  21. I have setup like this. REC(full) --> tesseract --> tesseract --> REC(empty). All output and inputs on REC set to 100 MJ/t. I use Conduit to transfer power, when u messure on conduits output (blue arrow), u messure how much power that is leaving the conduit. By that i can messure that 80 MJ/t enters the tesseract, but the REC is set to output 100MJ/t, and when i look in the REC the hundreds number is counting down, so seems like 100 is leaving the REC, but only 80 goes to tesseract. After the power have come through the tesseract 25% more is lost. If u messure on the tesseract it also says, that it requests 80MJ/t, but max transfer is 100. So my total losses are 20MJ/t + 25% witch gives me 60MJ pr 100MJ. If i change the REC to only output 80MJ/t nothing changes, expect that i dont lose the flat 20MJ/t and only the 25%. And since there is no energy loss in conduits, i believe the power just disappers How i made it clear where my problem is.
  22. Not sure if this is a bug or its made this way. But power tesseracts have a powerloss of 25%, and max transfer of 100 (both by default), but when i setup a tesseract and give it 100 mj/t it only get 80 in, and when it comes out of tesseract it removes 25%, atm when sending 100 mj/t in u get 60 mj/t out. I can ofc just change the deafult values to fit my needs. But still something seems wrong.
