You were not banned for no reason. You were banned for making not only one, but two threads (with the exact same wording, mind you) about an ETA for the "Tekkit Pack." Asking for ETAs is against the rules. Maybe you should have read them? It's the way to welcome people who break the rules. The fact that it was your first post only aided in your being probated. Oh man, we don't have the right to ban you? I guess that's why we have the power to do that: So we don't ban people. Oh, wait. A question that is against the rules to ask. Oh shit! Being a noob and being someone who's trying to make themselves out as clever and intelligent while looking like an idiot are two different things. Also, saying that "Everyone was a noob once!" may feel nice, but really it's a horrible excuse. And only true in varying degrees. If their post is bad enough for us to call them morons, there are three possible outcomes: 1. They learn from their mistakes, improve, and become a successful member of the community; 2. They leave forever; 3. They continue to act like an imbecile and get probated/banned. Any of the three will work.

Mod is short for modification, which refers to changes in the original code of the game. Plugin means exactly that. Plug in. You are adding additional code to the original code of the game, rather than changing it.

It's always wonderful when something happens like a massive death tank getting jammed by rolling over a stray pebble or a giant nearly-indestructible mining drill breaks because it hit a stone at just the wrong angle.

The main problem is that your screenshot is too large. The quarry block has gone off the page, forcing the chunk to unload and making it useless. Try crafting some [img width=800] blocks and applying them to the image. Hmm... actually, since I can see you're offline I'll help you out and place them for you.

Come now, I kind of like taint. It's one of those unique things where the consequences of certain actions really do affect the world apart from random 'splosions. (On a side note, it would be "Thaumaturgy," not "Thaumology")
