    sorry, forgot to reply here. The reason you can only allow 1GB is that you either have a 32-bit java or a 32-bit OS. You can uninstall your javas and get a 64-bit one If your Operating System is 32-bit then you can't do much, besides buying a new PC. That shouldn't be your case if you have 4GB RAM

    you probably set the modpack up improperly. The usual trend is that users download old or mismatched versions of mods from sites that the original author of said mod did not upload it to. This is not a Launcher issue, so take it up on Platform Pagoda where custom packs are discussed.

    just like the error window says: consult the modpack author. Technic team did not create that pack, do not ask for help with such packs on Bug Reports section

    what happens when you type the word "Tekkit" or "Classic" on the search bar when you're at the Modpacks window? Doesn't Tekkit classic show up then?

    what about admin permission, are you the owner of the PC? If you are you can try right-clicking the launcher icon and choose "Run as Admin"

    [SEVERE] Failed to open http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/tekkitmain.552547. Error message: Access is denied. looks like a security software is blocking the launcher. Antivirus, firewall, webproxy - check what you have and try to disable them and re-try the launcher afterwards

    Error occurred during initialization of VM [INFO] Could not reserve enough space for 1048576KB object heap too little memory. Click on Launcher Options (cog wheel button) and the java settings tab. In there is an option to change your RAM allowance to the launcher, change it to something between 1-3GB (depending on how much RAM your PC has)

I haven't yet figured out what's causing this... I spoke too soon. http://forums.technicpack.net/topic/130597-unable-to-download-modpacks/ read that report

    Fleshcoat, you are correct. You are not the original poster here. Which is why you shouldn't have posted here for help to begin with. Make your own report Wicked, I fail to see why you're having such a hard time following my instructions. If I wanted downloadable links then I would ask for such, which I didn't. If you want my help then follow my instructions

    Technic team is not responsible for custom packs not working. This would only be an issue if the official technic packs was having the same problem, which tells us that the launcher is the issue. This is not the case here. Post your problem on Platform Pagoda
