  1. Thanks for your help. No plugins, fresh configs. Not using Optifine or Fastcraft, removed all client-side mods from my test client. There was a recent release of Thermos I haven't updated to yet, I'll try that.
  2. Read up at solder.io I have no idea about doing this on a hosted service, I have never used one. My server is in my basement. If you have server admin and networking experience, and know your way around Linux, you should be fine. If not, you have some learning to do. I've never installed it. If you really want to do this, read the install guide very thoroughly. Perhaps some else who has installed solder can help you, AFTER you have read the guide, tried the install, had issues, attempted to solve the issues, and have specific questions.
  3. Did you increment the version number of the pack? Was it at 1.2 before?
  4. [B#347] 2016/05/28 16:02:27 [INFO] # There is insufficient memory for the Java Runtime Environment to continue. By the looks of it, your PC doesn't even have 6GB of ram anyway to spare. Remember, your OS needs ram too.
  5. don't get the MDK, its for developers only you want Mekanism, Generators, and Tools. No MDK
  6. its not a zip file, its a .jar. Never unpack the .jar files.
  7. I don't know where you downloaded that from, but real mod is hosted at http://aidancbrady.com/mekanism/download/ Make sure you are getting the mods from the mod author's site, minecraftforum.net, github or curseforge. There are a lot of content-scraping sites out there hosting fake or really old content.
  8. in mods. Core mods isn't used anymore.
  9. Missing OpenModsLib wrong iChunUtil, get 4.2.2 Missing RadixCore Other things as well, fix these and launch again, and the forge error screen will point you in the right direction. *Get your mods from trusted sources* Also noticed you don't have NEI or any other recipe handler. You should really consider one.
  10. Solder is big deal to setup. If you've never made a custom pack before, this is not the way to begin. It is NOT needed unless you have a very large amount of users downloading your pack. Having multiple versions of your pack is probably more trouble than it is going to be worth. Make your pack, and keep it updated. Users will be prompted to update when they launch it, after you make your changes and increment your pack version number.
  11. If permissions and land claims aren't need, skip it entirely. In that case, add Aroma Backup to the pack so you can have automatic world backups http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/aromabackup/files/2284754 and http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/aroma1997core/files/2257644
  12. I like FTB utilities. It has a really easy land claim system.
  13. Perhaps a kindly mod can move this to Platform Pagoda and you can post a link to your pack there
  14. Perhaps you don't have Java. Grab 8x64 u25 http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/8u25-b18/jdk-8u25-windows-x64.exe
  15. FTB Utilities (I prefer this one) http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/ftb-utilities Put this in /mods on BOTH server and client. Don't forget its dependency, FTBlib. OR Forge Essentials http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/forge-essentials-74735 Put this in /mods on the server. There is a separate client side .jar that is optional. Read up on them and choose whichever one you think is best.
  16. What do you use to provide chat between servers? My new one is running Thermos, and the old is Forge. Is this possible?
  17. They do that with http://solder.io What is your purpose for providing different pack versions?
  18. Post a link to your pack.
  19. If by versions, you mean updates, you go into your Tekkit modpack control panel, choose your modpack, hit Edit Modpack and click the Versions tab. Put a higher New Version Number in the box, and type something in the Changlog box. Then click the Update Version button. You should do this after making any changes to your pack so your players receive the updates when they click Play.
  20. Taking the test server down tomorrow, need it for other stuff.
  21. https://github.com/MJRLegends/ExtraPlanets/issues/21 I posted issue to mod dev. Could you provide screenshots? He says this is impossible.
  22. Mine usually updates within minutes. I update Dropbox, increment my pack version number, close launcher, wait 2 min, reopen launcher, and update prompt is displayed when I launch my pack.
  23. Server down while I install an SSD drive. And we're up. God I love SSDs.
  24. I plan on updating to v9 in a week for two. Reading up on all the new stuff. Also giving it time to have its bugs shaken out. I looked at Botania, it's a great mod with really cool effects and mechanics, but not a great fit for a the tech pack. If you have other suggestions, please post.
  25. What are the specs of your machine (CPU, RAM, GPU)?
