  1. http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/barebonespack.271497 this is great for testing packs
  2. There error I pasted shows you what mod is having an ID conflict. See if punmod has a config file, and change ID 375 to something else.
  3. Wow. You can miss a lot on a little iPhone screen. ?
  4. I'll be away from a PC for awhile, but I see you have a map mod. Generally they are client-side only.
  5. What else does he need to do with his PC while running Minecraft? The Java processes end after closing the game and launcher anyway. Java doesn't run unless you launch software written in Java.
  6. Need a link to the modpack API or a dropbox link to help.
  7. He absolutely needs Java, and it will use a lot of resources while running modded Minecraft. There is no work-around. No Java no Minecraft.
  8. Did you fix the id conflicts that Plowman pointed out? Few things 1) A lot of your mods have (1) or (2) at the end of filename, remove that. 2) You have Advanced Genetics 1.7.10 and 1.7.2 in there. Get rid of 1.7.2 3) You have both Optifine and Fastcraft. Pick one, not both. You have some more ID's to chase down: [09:43:58] [Client thread/ERROR] [FML/]: Caught exception from gibby_pun java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Attempted to register a enti ty with invalid ID: 375 Name: EntityMinion Class: class com.gibby.pun.EntityMinion at net
  9. Please download this file, then RightClick->Run as Administrator. This should clear Java Settings that are being stored in your OS, which interfere with Technic. This script was written by the Moderator Khio, and can be trusted. http://iamtrue.net/clearJavaEnvVars.bat
  10. Pastebin a crashlog. However, if are one of the many who have Windows 10 and an Intel GPU, try Java 7 x64 instead.
  11. Somewhere there is a java global java setting that is forcing to to use only 512MB. Someone once posted a short script to remove it, but I can't seem to find it. Try this from a command prompt: set _JAVA_OPTIONS=
  12. Zip up what you have and send me a dropbox link, and I will help if I can.
  13. The modpack author of that pack is responsible for any issues. Either try again later or contact them.
  14. Where did you download it from?
  15. Try this: 1) Install the Barebones Pack from the technic launcher: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/barebonespack.271497. Launch it once. This is an empty pack, with just Forge. 2) Go to c:\users\*your username*\appdata\roaming\technic\modpacks\barebones pack\mods 3) Dump all your mods into the mods folder. The bin folder will already have the latest 1.7.10 forge universal, renamed to modpack.jar 4) Try launching your pack. When is crashes, pastebin the log from c:\users\*your username*\appdata\roaming\technic\modpacks\barebones\logs 5) If your pack is already zipped and available from the technic launcher, post the link. Refer to this as well: https://technicpack.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204199345-How-to-make-a-Minecraft-modpack Not sure what you mean by "compile". Do you mean launch it? Or zip it and upload it to dropbox?
  16. Are you still able to browse after 8:00PM? I don't know how old you are, but if you still live at home, perhaps your parents are blocking your connection after 8?
  17. Pastebin a crashlog and post a Dropbox link to your pack.
  18. Where are you stuck?
  19. Removed Stellar Sky, too much lag. Added FTB Utilities to client-side as well, like I should have in the first place
  20. Test it yourself to make sure you've removed the right stuff, and that you can connect with your modpack, but yeah, that's it.
  21. Yes, remove any client-side mods.
  22. Haven't downloaded modpack yet, but a couple things jump out: 1) Mapwriter is client-side only, and you have the wrong version, your pack is 1.7.10, that one is for 1.8.9 2) Flans content packs don't go in /mods. They go in a Flans folder at the root.
  23. Removed Forge Essentials and added FTB Utilities. I'll configure it later after playing with some options. Is there any benefit to adding it to client-side? Or should it be server-side only?
  24. I really like that idea. Will definitely check out ftb utilities too. FE is tough to use.
