  1. Remove any client-side only mods, like maps or damage indicators, etc.
  2. Have a look at Railcraft, SecurityCraft and maybe Rotarycraft for some of those ideas.
  3. Need a bit of additional info: What server? If its a custom pack, ask the modpack author or whoever is hosting the server.
  4. What did you lose, and when, and what were you doing at the time?
  5. Welcome to the server! Hope you have fun building. We've had a stable map for awhile, and I don't plan on a map reset for a LONG time. There are a few players on at semi-regular intervals currently. Its a small, laid-back place to build.
  6. Please download this file, then RightClick->Run as Administrator. This should clear Java Settings that are being stored in your OS, which interfere with Technic. This script was written by the Moderator Khio, and can be trusted. http://iamtrue.net/clearJavaEnvVars.bat
  7. Check the box on the launcher to have the console window stay open. Then you can see what's going on. for large packs, three to five minutes isn't too unusual.
  8. Yes will do shortly, just fixed a big lag issue with Electricraft. BTW, hold off on using relays for now.
  9. What an awesome tool! I got it going, and profiled my server while I was joined and was booted, and kept it going for an hour afterwards. The culprit was Electricraft. It was constantly polling for updates in its network, endlessly. I remembered I had added relays recently, so I killed those and my issues went away. I profiled again afterwards and its all fine now. Mabye relays are buggy. Need to find an alternative way to cut and restore power. I have no idea why this problem didn't really show itself until I dove underwater. Really odd. Thanks again for your excellent help!
  10. Never heard of WarmRoast, I have some reading to do. Thanks!
  11. My turn to ask for help: I have a custom pack, http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/the-way-too-much-tech-pack https://www.dropbox.com/s/f9xlu99vi4qf87l/modpack.zip?dl=1 Whenever I go underwater in an Ocean Biome, my client times out. Diving underwater elsewhere is fine. It seems to be a problem unique to my world, singleplayer does not behave this way. Logs are un-revealing. The server begins ticking very badly before I disconnect. Ran Opis, ping time shot way up during the issue. My server is in my basement, my client sits next to it. I am the only player connected when this has happened. The server has 5GB allocated, It is using 3.5GB with no one connected. World file size is quite large, nearly 4GB. Trying to hook up a Reactorcraft Fluid Extractor to get heavy water when I noticed this. Running Forge 1614 with FTB utlilities. Java 8x65 Any pointers? I've been ripping out mods and trying to narrow this down. I'd like to eventually switch to Thermos, but I need a stable pack first.
  12. Terrible lag -- neutrons. fixing removing decocraft now too. **Need to mcedit out some crap**
  13. Anyone using Decocraft? I included it, but its a memory hog, and and I'd like to pull it. Speak up if you need it, otherwise I will remove in a few days. Also, I learned that Reactorcraft fission reactors that lack really, really good neutron containment will cause massive lag over time. Each neutron is an entity, and ones that aren't contained don't go away.
  14. Forgot to post, back up today. Prob updates later this week after Reika settles down and stops updating.
  15. Freak snowstorm. No power = no server Will update when power is back, and looks likely to stay on.
  16. https://technicpack.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203310269-Administrating-a-Modpack scroll down to "modpack change log" whenever you make changes to your modpack.zip, you must increment your pack version. This makes the launcher prompt users to download your update.
  17. Did you increment your modpack version?
  18. You are missing CodeChicken core for 1.7.10 http://chickenbones.net/Pages/links.html choose the Latest one. Your NEI is from an untrusted source and is old. Download from the source above. Same deal with EnderStorage, http://mods.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/229306-ender-storage#t1:other-downloads Any mod in the format modname-1.7.10 is suspect. Get your mods from the author's site or other safe download repository (Minecraftforum, Curse,Author website). Check all your mods to make sure. MCHeli does not belong in Mods, it does in the Flans folder. You are missing the main flans jar that DOES go in Mods: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3w45rg9veryu9qn/Flan%27s+Mod-1.7.10-4.10.0.jar Start with those changes.
  19. Provide modpack API link and Dropbox download link.
  20. Lag issue fixed. Seems 1000 cows are terrible for server tick rate.
  21. Try java 7 x 64
  22. Your pack launches for me. Try deleting and re-installing.
