Yes, it was. Why would you want to play an outdated Minecraft, with outdated mods, and no support from the community? Try Tekkit Lite, Big Dig, or one of the cool platform packs like Roots. :)

Oh, the pack's being updated. Just pretty slowly, that's all. That's kinda how we've always rolled. Zicamox pretty much abandoned Technic Forums (and Technic in general). I'm the only one left who even likes Technic, let alone uses their forums. Anyway, we now have a new way of distributing the pack, via the JSTR Patcher. Texture packs are just ZIPs, use Windows' file explorer. To edit, I suggest Paint.NET On Linux, most distros provide an archive manager, and GIMP is good for image manipulation. I don't give a damn about Macs.

Eh, from what I've seen, the most common currencies in use today are: 1. Vanilla emeralds: makes sense, that's what they were designed for. 2. Tungsten: well, what else are you going to use it for? :P

Also, your modpack is improperly formatted. Modpacks that contain anything in bin/ besides modpack.jar (and possibly worldedit.jar) are bad
