Yes, this is quite easy to troubleshoot actually. You've been doing random stuff: - I see mods without version tags. That's a huge red flag already. - You got your forge from a different modpack. If I had to venture a guess... I'd say attack of the Bteam, or Tekkit. - Nice 1.7.10 mods there.

Java 8 ofcourse. Depending on your setup, either the latest version for Java 8, or no higher than 8u60.

Java 9. Java 9 will not work with Forge, or Minecraft for that matter.

Locate the modpack folder, open the config folder, open the forge.cfg file and edit the values for "Remove erroring TileEntities" to true. Save and try again.

You only need 1 book on you, and you might have to hit the detect/submit button in the book. In case you are worried about the 5 quest books, you have 4 copies.

The minecraft jarfile in the bin folder (after having installed the modpack), does it end with .jar or is it just minecraft? If just minecraft, change modpack.jar to just modpack.

Server file works the same as the client modpack, just leave out any clientside-only mods. Look over at Apex if Forge is required to run (probably not).
