  2. There has been several post lately about players saying theyre launcher is bugged, or thy get a bad login to a server. All you guys, be aware of that Minecraft itselfe has had issues, larger issues with theyre Authservers. They have prob done some changes, that for some odd reason seems to affect modded clients more than vanilla one. I really suggest all of you guys that apparently has connectionissues to be patient. Tekkit really dont get involved in connections in that way, that part MC handles. And if that part fail, well .... u cant connect etc. I havent had any issues today, but i had several yesterday. Also some ppl have written that Mc somewhere (Jeb+) have had issues. Might be a case of "stand in line, try again plox" situation. So if you cant connect, bad login etc ... I see no point of reinstalling java and all that fancy shit. Really ... when did java really gave bad login due to java version? Never that ive ever seen. Bad login = mc issues vs server protokoll. So chill out, wait, and try again. Really, all those post the last days about not being able to log on ... Tekkit is using MC, its not a standalone game, be logical!
  3. Yet another small update. We are in progress of the last touches on the 4 beasts, and adding some pluginparts to being able to remove more of the rules. As said, no rules = best. If you cant make it, you just cant!

  5. Small update, we are atm making it 4 player/team compatible, so we might need a few extra hours to finish it off . But in regards of actually looking at it, we will enabled that pretty soon!
  6. We are still working on it, we also got plugins to add, so its a "norule" FTB. Who needs rules? Isnt it just better to use plugins to stop dorky stuff right off the start? When we are getting closer, we will just open it up, for ppl to look at it atleast (only inside a preset area, so spoilers wont be to big ;)

  8. We might not have it reaady till saturday, aka 30ish hours from now. The balance of the mods, and getting the beast happy, was more of a challenge than we expected. In regards of what ppl know as TFB we made a few changes. Its hard, and when ppl thing its over ... well its not. We expect all from 3 to 10h gameplay, depending on how well ppl knows the mods that are in Tekkit. Some basic items, like Mininglaser, iTNT etc will be removed, its really not needed to use. Spectators WILL be allowed in at all time, ofc in a confined area. We will also make shure that contestant CANT run onto the other side, to mess stuff up. Most FTB have rules, ours wont hardly have any, we instead belive in using plugins to prevent cheats from happening, what u see, is what you get kind of mentality. It also, as last sidenote, seems like our FTB might be damn hard, if not creative, ppl WILL be stuck and cant get anywhere.

Well, then we dare you, and your friends to play this map. If you think you know Tekkit, think again! Face challenges you never have faced before, get stuck where you never expected it was possible to get stuck. This map uses the entire range from vanilla, to the high tier Equivalent Exchange items, and almost unknown usages of it! Be aware, this isnt easy, this is a real test of skills! So this is how it works: Each team has theyre own designated area, protected with worldguard. They cant leave that area and others cant enter it. Its not impossible to finish or progress unless someone totally does something real stupid, in that case, they loose .. Spectators are limited to an area between the beasts, so they can watch it, but they cant be looking at what the other team does exactly. Neighter can they read the chat that belongs to the other teams. A teamchat is for that team only, so others cant communicate with them! Play smart to win, this map needs more than just average Tekkitskills, that wont be enough to feed the beast. Have all possible wikis open, they are defo needed! After an event, map is resetted (not auto) and new teams can play. All based on what exp we gain about playtime, difficulty etc we will make adjustements to the map, so that we wont risk it going on for weeks and weeks. Atm estimated playtime with a 6 player team is 2 days (average players) So ... what other server feels theyre up to the challenge, not only against us, but other servers, all from 2 to 4 teams are supported on this map! Sign up in this thread with the servername, servername/link, preffed playdate. Its IMPORTANT to supply 100% correct ingame names of the players! Edit: I would like to challenge the Technicpack crew on this one, if they feel theyre up for the task that is? ....   10. Server is up, if ppl cant connect its most likely due to MC is down (even several has reported to us vanilla works, Tekkit dont). On a sidenote, in regards of those that just log on to troll, we got some plugindevs and "software engineer" (aka fixing games and code) to join us to make it even better, easier, and more enjoyable to play on our sever Ill also use this post for a reminder for those new: We DONT run on standar Tekkitsettings (and im not refering to banned items), power on our server is hard, its something ppl just have to deal with!
  11. We dont use whitelist, its just to log on, no stress. Keep in mind, we have nerfed alot, so we might feel alot harder than most other Tekkitservers, no easyride here (but for new players, we ofc have a small tutorial of the mods. After that, ur kinda just thrown into it all, survival server, always remember that).
  12. This weekend, we will host a FTB with players VS staff! For that comp, we will lift a few of the restrictions we have so that 1 game wont last for hours and hours, days and days! Signup etc will be announced ingame when we get closer :)
  13. If you link me some on our forums, ofc I can. Ive also been thinking about the possibility to allow some players to create theyre own maps for that. But that still in the thinkingphase.
  14. Sometimes, i really hope that they make a pinned part on this section, for server that really have been here for a long time. Prob not dedicated in regards of the serverpost, but in regards of keeping a server alive and sort issues! Beside that, in the next days, we will give our random special rewards to players. And trust me, its cool, damn cool! Edit: I think TekkitCraft were the first server posted here? Havent checked yet ...
  15. We also added a new and improved warningsystem, that allows all to see who has broken the rules, been banned and whatnot. We had one testplugin, that sadly werent working. But basicly, for those that cant read rules: Punishments: 1st to 3rd warning: Kick 4th warning: 10 min tempban 5th warning: 30 min tempban 6th warning: 1h tempban 7th warning: 3h tempban 8th warning: 6h tempban 9th warning: 12h tempban 10th warning: 24h tempban 11th warning: PERMANENT BAN We have 0 problems with issuing warnings to players that really cant read our small and simple rules when logging in (not for the first time, but EACH time they log on). Play nice, there wont be any problems! Its all automated, when someone in staff issues a warning using the plugin (ull get warned in the chat first ofc), all players knows about it, and each time you log in, both you AND all online also gets remember that YOU have broken serverrules, or not been respectfull of our staffmembers.
  16. Towny do prevent flight, i suggest you check configs of plugins before saying its not them. Towny: # Prevent fly and double block jump cheats. cheat_protection: 'false'
  17. So ur new to Tekkit, oh, dont worry ... We have an interactive tutorial that give out basics, and what most items does! It will all be a part of a new and more detailed first post really soon :)
  18. It seems like you have to contact your internettprovider for this issue. We havent added anything that can block you in regards of that in any way.
  19. We want players to be able to check if other players got a bad rep on the server, so we added a plugin for that. Get a bad rep, scam, protectionbypass and what not, break rules, ull have a bad rep, that ALL players can check. :)
  20. 1 of 2 crashrelating ussues have been resolved. Still yet abit in the dark about the last one, but it should be stable again now.
  21. Some changes will be made towards one of our plugin that limits the amounts of players able to log in and play. We wont go whitelist, but in order to sort some of the issues with the amount of players thats unable to do read our simple rules etc ingame, those might get to a "full" server, as we will limit the amount of slots those players have avalible, and instead reserve more for those that are truly dedicated towards Tekkit, and wants to play the game as it is, not just for "EE and cool stuff". All our players that knows our rules, and dont need to ask a question for every singel action they are to do, will be granted a Veteran status, and reserved slots to the server.

  23. As said, CC is real CPU heavy, where RP isnt. Only reason, and for me, damn good enough Edit: And we choose not to use the features CC Turtles has, as it dont suit us.
  24. Whitelist isnt = no greif. Servers with whitelist can just as well fail on protection as those without. Whitelist = free bumps of ppl that will lie to get into a server? But to reply to the topic, feel free to check out our server (we are under open servers, please read review on page 27, i guess you are capable of finding the post etc etc on ur own)
