This problem is solved in the common problems sticky. So don't kill yourself, read the stickies, and then you will be able to enjoy the Technic experience.
-
Ahh... Did you try running the jar through java? Just right click the .jar, select open with, and find "Java platform SE Binary" (Or similar) Should pop open the launcher just fine. Also, please don't double post. It is annoying.

Thread Recycling - The Eco Posters Wild Jungle Of Topics
Zebrin replied to player21's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Pass on the tomato, grab the nightshade instead? (Same family of plant by the way.) It is why people thought tomatoes were poisonous, and when a guy ate a barrel of them on a roof to prove they weren't, people came around to watch his public suicide. He got arrested for attempted suicide, but released when he didn't have any health problems and a big ol' shit eating "I told you so" grin on his face. Can't remember the guys name though... -
Gods DAMN. What the hell happened to him? Did he suddenly go insane? Was reading Sengir's code that stressful?
-
If it bothers you so much, reply to those threads with PEBKAC or RUPAK. Or just report the post, since it IS against the rules...

It might be a good idea to copy that wholesale here though. Save all of us a bit of work.

Well, to be fair, there isn't a required reading section in the stickies here. That is in the technic bugs forum. Still, he really should read all the stickies just to be safe. What Jay? is referencing is that there is a way to post bugs here. It helps us help you by giving us the information that you... didn't post. Things like OS, what the program is doing, and occasionally a log. Be that as it may, have you tried right clicking on the .jar and running it with java? It will work wonders I bet.

Re: Common Problems (And their solutions) Both of those are solved in the op actually. Just replace the windows path with the mac path... which is also in the op. I will edit that solution so mac users know to use textedit.

Re: Common Problems (And their solutions) For the love of whatever personification of natural events you believe in. Read the fucking op! I am not going to answer questions in here because they shit up a thread that is for solutions. If you have a serious question, comment, bitch, gripe, or complaint about a solution, or think one is wrong PM me.

Well the Launcher is ........ &great* /buuuut/ how do I install these
Zebrin replied to frostebite's question in Technic Launcher
Smart movement might work, but as I recall the shader packs are incompatible with Forge. And Forge is a big thing underlying all the mods in the pack. So I don't think you can. -
If you look in the common problems and solutions thread, you will note that it gives out how to not only solve a lot of problems, but how to find all the files. Please read the stickies.
-
Interesting, I put mine to 2GB and it set the amount in game to 1GB. It might be that the math is wrong in that section of the launcher, maybe someone forgot to close a bracket or something.

You're welcome.

Okay well. I wish I could have helped a bit better. I want to know the cause of that one too since I have seen it around a bunch.
-
Nope, I meant jinput. The last time I encountered this problem that was what fixed it. I just wanted to see if it was reproducible, that way I can put it in the common problems thread. And sneezing panda, it would be a .jar, not a .rar... If you don't have jinput.jar in the bin folder then it looks like your download wasn't finished. The bin folder should have the lib and natives folders; and the jinput, lwjgl, lwjglutil, minecraft, and modpack.jars.

More conflicts? Jeeze. It sounds like your install really got screwed up. The best I can tell you is to delete the .techniclauncher file and redownload it. Otherwise you are going to be working on fixing every damn conflict in the entire smorgasbord of mods they crammed in here. Sorry I can't help further.
-
More information! It looks like this problem might have something to do with your internet crapping out on you mid install. There have been a couple people who powered through it by just attempting a bunch of times and getting lucky. I can't really call that a solution though, as it sounds like an exercise in frustration. Sorry. The logs that I was asking about earlier would have been in \AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\logs (Look for launcher_0. It is the most recent.) Oh, and I am not on the technic team; just someone trying to be helpful by taking some of the basic troubleshooting load so the ones actually on the team can fix any real bugs that come up.
-
Ahh. It is looking like your install got a little borked. Delete what is already in your Thaumcraft.cfg file and copy this in there. It should take care of any more conflicts.
-
Could you give me the error message like you did last time?
-
go to AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\technicssp\config and find thaumcraft.cfg(Not mod_thaumcraft.cfg) Open it in a text editor and change the crucible from 243 to 188. It should be on the fourth line.
-
Try going to AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\technicssp\bin. Once there open jinput.jar in 7zip or winrar, and delete meta-inf. If that works tell me.
-
It won't work. the EE update broke all 1.0 saves.
-
That looks to be a pretty simple block conflict. IC2's Rubberwood tree and thaumcraft's crucible are both block 243.
-
It has it's own set of problems though... (I am looking at you Bethesda)

Can't Run it; tried several different things
Zebrin replied to Gladium's question in Technic Launcher
Hello Technician Gladium! First, check Here! Seriously, read the fucking stickies. They stay at the top for a goddamn reason. If those don't work, search the forums. I try to stay on top of the solutions, but occasionally one slips by me for a bit. IF and only if those don't work should you try making a thread about this stuff.
