For me changing the forge version a few times worked, I came out at 524.

Modpack.jar shouldn't be installed into minecraft.jar, but should be sitting next to it. So you have two .jar files in the bin.

Have you put all the files in another main file before zipping it? Because you shouldn't, also, try a new forge version. I use 524: http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php?action=files

Use forge release 524 or another newer one that doesn't break, you're currently using 497 right? You can find the newest releases here: http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php?action=files

It's whatever you like, really. If you like lotsa easy materials, go for the big dig pack, if you like Yogbox, go for Plus Sigma. Etc. what kind of modpack are you looking for?

It'll ask you for a url, put the dropbox url in there

You create the folders config, mods, coremods and bin and put everything in the folder it's supposed to go, in the bin file should be a modpack.jar with forge in it. If you want anything like a texturepack just create a folder matching the name of the existing texturepacks folder, and put your tpack in there. Then zip everything, upload it to a website like dropbox, upload the modpack onto the platform (remember to turn www.dropbox into dl.dropbox), and you're done.

I think Technic sucks, here are the reasons: - FTB has better fps, 1 awesomepoint for FTB - FTB has Direwolf20pack which instantly gets it 20 more awesomepoints than Technic - FTB has Forestry, 5 awesomepoints - FTB exists, 50 awesomepoints - Technic sucks, -5 awesomepoints for Technic We end up with: Technic: -5 FTB: 76 Use FTB, so much better.

You've done a really great job on this! It was so easy for me to create and upload a pack to the platform! Questions: 1A. Will there be a section for custom packs, so we can post the packs in, get suggestions or have people report bugs? (or maybe ask people to do artwork or help with the pack) 1B. or have people report bugs? Will there be a separate section for only the bugs? 2. Do the servers of the platform packs belong in the custom pack section, or will there be a separate section for these?
