many different errors, never seen or read about this on forums before
Xylord replied to Ioakim's question in Tekkit Classic
I just thought this was the version of your Tekkit, and the one for your server was maybe different. ^^ And the "impressive cunning" part was, I admit it, mostly made of sarcasm. -
Sniff, no need to make me feel like an absolute Internet noob XD Though, that was much easier to find than I would have thought. Might try running one of those with Vanilla, they're saying 8GB would be about right. But I won't even start dreaming about having this Technic Not like there's a mod-compatible version anyway.

Where are Wireless transmitters/receivers?
Xylord replied to Smurfkiller9000's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Ah, well high technology is expensive, sadly. I was thinking you had a problem with how they worked. -
No, not IN it, just run it. Try right-clicking it and running it with Java.

To be honest, I was hoping to have a reaction from me knowing your name from my impressive cunning, you'll have to wait until someone who knows his shit comes help you, sorry. By any chance, is the version of your server the same as the latest for Tekkit? -
How Much Lag Does BuildCraft Actually Cause?
Xylord replied to xboxnolifes's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
I think he means that BC reduce performances simply by being installed, an I did hear about such issues, but I couldn't prove it myself, nor did I ever notice it. -

Well Gary Smith, it would help us if you told us what you're trying to do when this error comes up. -

Crappy? I find they're perfectly fine. The GUI is also very nice, you should try them out. Plus, they work exactly in the same way as the old ones. -
Wut. Just double click it (the thing with .jar after) and it should start the launcher.

Hey, I'm a happy nerd, so I don't feel aimed at at all! Good job for the counter-troll activities.

I don't know what happens when you start paying them, but I remember I tried it at the start of my computer life and it was spamming me with annoying messages about scanning and re-scanning my files, verifying the status of my computers security, and of course "updating" to the paying paying version. It didn't hit me as "inefficient", but it's still as annoying as my mother-in-law (Yup, that's a synonym for very annoying). Edit: Better to not go against god-on-earth Kakermix will. :P

You contacted him? Then, make him suffer. You bear the pain of all the server admins who got griefed over the years by this guy. Don't forget to say his sister is good in the bed.
-
No no, those are fine. I'm talking about the energy collectors from EE. I don't know making a diamond each ten seconds out of thin air is pretty painful for a server's economy. Plus, it more or less removes any motivation one would have to make a resource making factory, since they can just make magically appear pretty much anything they want, other than the endgame EE items. Of course, if you want your players to have some kind of creative mode once they're far enough into the game, it's your choice. This is a viable option too, if you want to make big constructions eventually.

Well, I personally never dug really deep into Wedge, and almost nobody here use it. You'll have more chance if you ask for help on the mod's thread on MinecraftForums.
-
I just like stating the obvious. :D
-
That's actually a very good idea, and I would gladly support it. Though, if you want it to have chances to be considered, you should go post it on the official Industrial Craft forum/thread on MCForums, as that is where the modder looks, not here. Remember, the Technic team only puts all the mods together in the best way possible, they don't make the mods themselves. Good luck!
-
No. Edit : Bro-tip, type "forestry" in the search bar to get satisfying answers to your question.
-
Sadly, no. Technic adds a ton of new terrain generation feature including but not limited to : oil, tainted zones, villages, silver wood trees, uranium, gems, tin, copper and silver. What you could do is, if you really like your house, generate a new world and MCedit your old house into the new Technic world. The best of both worlds.
-
It's just a very wild guess, but I think he might be talking about the file called "technic-launcher.jar".

Eh, you just got your survival island blown up by a griefer, I guess it would be mean to still not trust you. A whitelist is always a good idea, even if one day you want to open up your server, being able to block all players but the ones you want is a good plan to have a high quality server.
-
Ah, potenatail = potentially, okay, I'll keep it in mind, thanks :D

There was no sign of it in your server log? Well then, there either is something supernatural happening, which is false, or you're trolling me, which is most probable. But this is a fairly smart troll, so I won't mind too much. Also, I wouldn't be so surprised that "professional" griefers have ways to find IP addresses used by minecraft servers. And now that I think about it, some sort of skin/IGN abusing mod/tool is possibility from a fairly experienced coder.
