  1. Redwheat just needs a light level of 7 to grow. Guess what light source would that be? :D
  2. Yeah, once I get the meat of it done and released, I can work on a Tekkit version of my texture pack. It's actually a continuation/refinement of an abandoned pack by a favorite artist of mine. I'll certainly do one for your mod, too. :D
  3. Uh, that's the more recent version of Spiderman's origin story, the older stories say it was radioactive. :geek:
  4. Take over the world?
  5. It's not unfriendly, there's just this low tolerance for thick people.
  6. But they don't waste any time eating a whole stack of cobble. I actually ran a simple system that took in extra byproducts from a RP horizontal mining rig I made myself, and fed the scrap to a fabricator. Ate through my byproducts at a clip of 20 or so seconds per stack, with 8 overclockers. I wish I could check the power drain, but I lost that map.
  7. Personally, I think Jakj has a healthy (dis)respect for thick people, like me, but more vocal about it. Nothing wrong about that, being an asshole for all the right reasons is a perfectly normal attitude. Anyways, no, I think you might have a good idea to begin with. Go for it, just don't burn yourself out.
  8. Finished some preliminary work on the GUI since my usual Minecraft server is misbehaving (we suspect ddosing,) so I'll also some pretty pictures up as soon I can, as I wasted the rest of the day figuring out the CTM features for Optifine. Lots of fun things I can use on my texture pack, but the sticky widget will be the use of block metadata that forces me to try and do a combined ctm.properties file. We'll see how that experiment goes. UPDATE: Okay, haven't gotten around to playing with the ctm.properties file yet, but here's the stuff I whapped up for you. I made two GUI for the altered version, didn't know if you felt right with the dark colors. I figured that the best feel would be a Nether-like color, and had to source out that lovely squishy meat texture for the "soul tank." The inverted blue flame color felt right for an evil thing, as it's pretty much burning souls by nature. I also swapped in some little things that I borrowed from my texture pack that I use and upgrade for private use to fit better. (Really, an arrow, Minecraft? A line of fire always works better for a furnace/smelter, IMO. )
  9. I recall a mod called "CraftBook" being able to do this via a computer block with a 10x10 gui that you just drop in dust, torches, and repeaters as if you were building a logic diagram. But it's been a long while so I may be wrong about the name.
  10. *points to an add-on mod for Forestry that has Nikolite recipe for the Carpenter's crating function*
  11. Actually, check the advanced texturing options-you can now make connected textures with any block as long as you provide an ID in a special configure file. See Isabella 2 texture pack for an example using wool blocks.
  12. No, it's on MOMECorp. Read the first post again and know defeat, noob.
  13. Oooo... a texturing challenge. I'm no Hellbent (see ringmasterbent on DevArt,) but this ought to be fun to try. Would you like Optifine compatible textures while I'm at it?
  14. Yeah, ain't HD technology awesome? :D
  15. That explains Cheap Shot in a French maid's outfit...
  16. And we all know jakj is in it for the moogle-on-moogle action. Anyways, will consider giving it a whirl soon, even though it didn't appeal to me at first several months ago.
  17. I see ASCII as more of an early compression method, hehe. Come to think of it, you could do some interesting image obfuscation with it as well, if you made a hash table and used a standardized pallet of colors...
  18. *points to DropBox* Mind you, you'll have to synch up with it after, but it'll always be available.
  19. Thread title: Application for Lethosos How old are you?: 33 How often are you available and in what timezone?: Semi-often, between 8:00-11:00 PM EST. Can be on earlier in a few cases. How long have you been playing Tekkit / Minecraft?: Since Jan. of this year, best I can recall. Previous bans (include reason): None How did you hear about us?: Technic Server and the Let's Play video. Have you read and agreed to our server rules?: I agree to the server's rules. Why would you be a good addition to the server?: Because I've been interested in Tekkit for quite awhile and I desire a more resposive enviroment to further pratice my skills on. (Also, I dislike EE for various reasons.) Additional Notes: I'm also applying as a kind of "feeler" t o determine if this server would be a good fit for several fustrated Tekkit players on my home server--our server owner is being very wishy-washy about setting up a Tekkit server of our own. The whole "space colony" feel is quite unique enough to be a different enough experience for them.
