  1. That is true, but some items could ruin your map before the item is purged. I like NoItem because it can prevent people from doing things like wearing banned armor. I'm not sure if its the mod that auto-equips gear (InvTweaks), but players used to be able to equip it until we got NoItem.
  2. That's your problem, don't move the mouse wheel. Have your mouse already selecting an empty spot, like spot one. Drop the item into spot one and voila. No interacting/scrolling is done so the item will remain.
  3. Try it man. Deop yourself, have your mouse on spot 1, have spot 1 clear, visit a PROJECT table (not crafting) and you CAN craft the item and drag it into spot one. It will not remove the item until you interact.
  4. Again, if you use a project table it's easy to still craft the item. Modifyworld will not remove it from your hand until you interact. Mercurial eyes and lenses don't require an interact (like flint) to work. If you don't have NoItem, you will be exploited through ModifyWorld.
  5. Works for me. Also, if you want to do multiple damage definers on one ID, try something like this: x30172:.?* NoItem will help you a lot. There are items like deployers and turtles that can place banned items and NoItem will prevent you from 'fisting' it. You can drag something from a project/automatic tables into your fist and modifyworld does not prevent this until you interact with something. This could result in someone ruining your map with a Mercurial Eye because they don't need to interact with a block to use it (like flint).
  6. Turtles move though. If you clean your LWC database (lwc admin expire 1 month - or whatever time stamp you want), you'll see a ton of purged entries from turtles as they are no longer in that area.
  7. Configs are the key to victory: version: # If enabled we will not check the CraftBukkit version at startup. bypass_version_check: 'true' You want version .81 or higher as they deal with fakeplayers better. What trading plugin are you using? I'd check the config as it probably disables interaction while in gamemode 1 (if that's what you mean by op mode).
  8. Yeah, I'm not sure why you're having JXM problems if you are already logging in remotely. JXM was required for me to even do a memory dump, which you can already do...
  9. Sounds like you are trying to login remotely then? If so, VNC is an option if you don't want to mess with JXM. I would check out TightVNC for an easy installation. As far as using JXM, maybe greed can help you more there as I am more familiar with Ubuntu.
  10. What does it say when you mouse over the CPU box that's grayed out?
  11. Just rolled a new factions/ee map last night. Get on while people are still trying to make RM!
  12. You need to use the beta builds (1.7). http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/factions/files/
  13. We're back and on our brand new ISP through a colocation with 100meg upload! Come check us out!
  14. Just to let everyone know, we're moving to a colocation on Wednesday night. We'll be down from approximately 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM PST!
  15. Whoops, thanks. Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that we're creating a spleef arena as we speak. Any good arena builders would be greatly appreciated! We should be able to launch the arena tonight and you'll be able to queue as you please.

Looking for a server where you can experience EE and not have a million banned items? Look no further! We have no shame in running EE while trying to the most functionality out of Tekkit. We've nerfed several EMC values and so far have no issue with major farms ruining the economy. Most trading is done through player-run shops! Our map consists of: GriefProtection for easy, automatic plot protection so you're never griefed Modreqs to page one of our dedicated moderators ChestShop Dual Currency with IC2 credits PopulationDensity to ALWAYS find fresh land for newcomers EE without a million banned EE items! We also run a Factions map that has NO rank-restricted items! Banned Items: All rings, amulets (not loggable) Gem Armor (need rings!) All fabricators Tablets (dupes) Mercurial Eye (not logged) RM/DM Hoe (not logged) Destruction Catalyst (just too destructive) Katar (if you've pvp'd...you know why) Teleport pipes (lag) Collectors (TOO easy) Philosopher's stone interaction (still usable w/recipes) - (ruins map) Chunk loaders (obvious reasons - lag) RM Furnace (dupes) Quarry mining is allowed in Factions and Rich World only! We have also banned solar arrays. These suckers just tick and tick all day long even if a player is not online! We have compensated this by buffing geothermal and generators (and nuclear if you're able to craft it). Our geothermals output 120EU/tick! Please try our system before you rage because you can't have solar. It's pretty amazing. 17. Well it seems like you figured it out, but you could just log on that server and type /pl. A lot of servers block that command, however, it seems as most Tekkit admins don't go that route. Ignore all the "mod_whatever" as those are mods that everyone has just by running Tekkit. You're looking for things like "Warps, Jobs, LogBlock" etc. If you're still looking for jobs, it's really down to one plugin: mcjobs. We've tried 'Server Jobs' and 'Jobs', and mcjobs is the best so far (Jobs doesn't even load). The only issue we have with mcjobs is the miner class. If they strart using Red Matter Picks, or mining lasers, the plugin tries to pay them too fast and you'll start seeing loads of sql exceptions. If you're doing this because their map was ruined, I highly suggest you get LogBlock (or maybe CoreProtect if you don't want to mess with mysql - but you really should use mysql for logging) and apply the patch for logging EE tools. This alone could save your map. I believe there is a sticky in the SMP thread that you would benefit greatly from by reading it. Edit: if you need help, send me a pm and I can show you how to configure some plugins.
  18. How are you protecting them? LWC? We talked to the dev and he kindly pushed a fix for this. http://ci.griefcraft.com/job/LWC/728/
  19. To disable all of BC, you need to remove 3 zips from your mods folder: BC, AdditionalPipes, and PowerConverters.
  20. Our server just moved over to Tekkit about a month ago. At first, we said "ah let's have fun". We left on full EE, all mods, everything. About a week later, we were averaging 40 users and 5 tps. Of course Nolagg will not show you where the issue is, because it isn't a bukkit plugin problem. Your best option is going to be something like VisualVM. This will show you at the class level which mod/plugin is sucking up your resources. After examining the snapshots of our server, we decided to get serious and roll a new map while limiting/removing certain mods. BuildCraft was the #1 culprit of high usage classes, by a long shot. We disabled BC on the new map and it's been pretty smooth since then. Even brand new people are willing to give RedPower a shot as long as you have the patience to explain to them why you chose to disable BC and how RedPower can be effective. Those kids love their quarries though... In reality, if lag is your main concern then I have 2 suggestions for you. Get on RAMDisk and watch out for massive EE farms. We found one last night that was dropping the server to 2-5 tps all on its own. Ridiculous.
  21. We tossed it on 3.1.1 and no exceptions on start. Haven't had time to test all the tools yet though. Edit: Novas are logged and Picks are logged. Since we backup often, I'll live dangerously and assume it all works. Our EE is on a separate map anyway in case something gets crazy.
  22. Hey, I just got everything working/blocked on my server with Pex/WorldGuard. I noticed your ModifyWorld config has "enable: false". That does need to be true then all of your item codes will work. I copy/pasted your lines and they are fine.
  23. My pex groups are totally opposite of this (admin to default and yours is default to admin). However, when we need to block a permission node (or items like you are) they're the very first permissions in each group. Your modifyworld.* is before your - -modifyworld.whatever. Again, my pex groups go opposite of yours so maybe it's different and maybe it doesn't matter at all (probably not), but I think you should try switching the order of your modifyworlds. I am pretty certain this will fix your problem.
