I partially ninjaed you. I managed to post the part about providing a complete bug report. How about we call it a tie?
-
No. I am a java programmer and minecraft modder.
-
You're right. I completely missed that. Hohua, you need to go post a complete bug report in the tekkit or technic bug report forums. If you are using technic, go to the technic bur report boards. If you are using tekkit, use the tekkit bug report boards.

We need an error log, and we need to know what antivirus program you are using. What version of windows are you using? Is it xp, vista, or 7? Is it 32 bit or 64 bit? What version of java are you using? Is it java 7 update 7? Is it 32 bit or 64 bit?

1) I mean because I have to be. It's called tough love. Or a perverse pleasure derived from putting idiots in their place. Whichever one floats your boat. I can't as I am not a mod.

Here's an answer. Read the rules. You are in the wrong section, and you are triple posting. Did the warnings you received not tell you that clearly enough?

Don't bother, I just reported him.

CHEAP, refined, quantum armor killing machine

so, theoretically, it would be possible to make an electric fence that sends a lethal bolt of electricity through the wires once every second. -

and will that still deliver enough EU to kill quantum instantly? -

would hooking up several advanced machines increase the speed at which it bleeds off energy? -

Go into your .techniclauncher folder, ope the tekkit folder, find the config file, and delete it. -
Technic logo freezes in middle of screen and doesn't open
GreenWolf13 replied to zachattach96's question in Technic Launcher
Okay, I'm a java programmer, so I'm going to explain why downgrading to java 6 is a bad idea, and some possible reasons why the launcher isn't working for java 7. Most Minecraft mods are coded in java 7 (as it is the version of java that is used by the Forge API and MCP). As time progresses, there will be fewer and fewer mods that are coded in java 6. As these mods switch to java 7, you are going to get more and more problems with using java 6. There are already problems that are encountered by using java 6, as certain functions of mods require java 7. Eventually, it will get to the point where you are unable to play tekkit/technic/any form of modded Minecraft. The current version of the .exe launcher has several problems, with most of them being fixed by using the .jar launcher instead. All the .exe launcher does is launch the .jar launcher, which is a source of some confusion. My guess as to why the .exe (a windows executable) won't run the .jar (a java executable) is that there is an issue with the way windows tells java to run. This issue isn't experienced by java 6 users, leading me to believe that there is a compatibility issue between windows and java, with the source most likely being windows. The reason why your launcher wouldn't work in this case was a firewall blocking you from downloading the correct files from technicpack.net. The easy solution to this problem was to disable the firewall. -
[Question] Best Tools and Sword?
GreenWolf13 replied to TheEisbaer's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
If you don't/can't use Equivalent Exchange, the best tools are the Diamond Drill (combines a shovel and a pick, and is rechargeable) the Chainsaw (combines an axe, a sword, and a pair of shears, and is rechargeable) the electric hoe (a rechargeable hoe) the electric treetap (a rechargeable treetap) the electric wrench (IC@ machines only, rechargeable) and the Mining Laser. THe best sword is the nano saber. The best armor in terms of defense and cool abilities is Quantum armor, while the best utility armor is the lappack, solar helmet, and static boots, with quantum leggings. -

You could also set it up so that you had the energy feed into multiple rotary macertors, thus allowing the energy to be bled off faster. You could set up a rotary macerator and an induction furnace, spit the energy between them, and have the macerator macerate a stack of ingots, which is pumped into the induction furnace, then pumped back into the macerator. If this causes it to reach max speed, you could probably set it up so that it goes back down to 0 rpm while the dust is smelting, then the furnace goes down to 0 heat while the ingots are re-macerating. Another possibility is to have it go to a final HV transformer converting down, and have it power your machines and such. then the energy from the electric fence is actually used for things besides killing. Also, I'm pretty sure the the MFSU can accept EV. Just saying. -

I wanted to comment on that but I didn't have the courage to do it. Thanks for doing what I didn't have the bravery to do myself. -

Then use an MFSU maybe? Or have the power from the rotary macerator constantly draining. THere might be a way to set it up so that the power is going in a loop from the output of the MFSu back into its input. -

No, but you could use it to protect your base from someone in quantum. Like I said earlier, make a giant electric fence out of these, and surround your base with it. If you replace the macerator with a mass fabricator and hook it up to a timer set to 1 second, you could have a pulsing death machine that is impossible to get through without dying. Putting it in between two forcefields will allow you to keep mining turtles out. If you add even more HV solars, you can increase the number of times it pulses (100 HV solars would allow for it to pulse every 5 ticks, and 500 would allow it to pulse once every tick. Once a second should be sufficient though.) -

If 10 MV solars charge it in 20 seconds, you could charge it up in 5 seconds with 5 HV solar arrays, or 1 second with 25 HV solar arrays. Just saying. -

Probably wasn't fully charged. Still, almost killing someone in quantum is pretty good. -
You forgot Valkon, Maiden, Sct, Jay?, Ice Wolf, Freakachu, and that guy who is the "Official Brony Ambassador" (can't remember his/her name).

[WIP] MageCraft (Version 0.1.0 Source Code available)
GreenWolf13 replied to GreenWolf13's topic in Modders Metropolis
I like it. The Mana Enchanter is very well done, and the other textures look very nice. I'm definitely going to use most of these in my mod. Thank you for taking the time to make textures for my mod. -
