  1. Heroes is not related to tekkit at all. If you are having trouble getting a heroes server running I suggest you contact the heroes mod makers. If you are trying to get it running on a tekkit server, you're probably going to have a hard time, as it looks like the heroes mod is pretty big. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it is not compatible. If you really want to try and make it work, you probably want to give a lot more information. What exactly did you try, what version are you running, what specific problems did you run into, what did you try to fix it already, etc.
  2. You get un-kellered by becoming a productive member of the boards, not by coming back months later and bitching about it. Blaming kaker isn't gonna get you any points either. You get your problem solved by posting it in the bug section using the correct format, not giving one snippet of your log and expecting someone to have all the answers. Frankly you're lucky someone even took the time to try to help you with that post.
  3. Re: Texture Pack [128x] Sphax PureBDcraft [(REAL)Technic 6.0.7 / Tekkit 2.1] Um, no it doesn't? Perhaps I am misunderstanding. Lets take a single texture for example, obviously most files are many textures in one image but for the sake of simplicity lets say I opened a file that is one texture, it is 128X128 pixels. If I scale the image in gimp to half the size, it is now 64x64 pixels. You are saying that minecraft will still interpret this as a 128 texture for some reason? Where is the resolution for the image stored then? I was under the impression that the resolution was directly related to the actual pixel size of the image. Okay yeah, that's what I thought. Granted I do not have a huge amount of experience with texturing, but I have dabbled with gimp and modifying existing texture packs a fair bit and that was my understanding of it. I am puzzled by his last message I quoted that says scaling the image doesn't change the pixel size so I gotta ask, what program is he using to scale images? lol
  4. Re: Texture Pack [128x] Sphax PureBDcraft [(REAL)Technic 6.0.7 / Tekkit 2.1] Several people asked for a 64x version, but I don't believe anyone has posted one. I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to say, however taking the block .pngs and scaling the entire image to half the size with no interpolation, including the canvas size, then saving it, and then doing that for all of the .pngs will infact make them 64x resolution textures would it not?
  5. Redownloading the launcher serves no purpose, as that is a problem with your server files, not the launcher or client. Delete the whole server folder (back up your world first if you want) and redownload the server files off the tekkit page and put them in their own folder, run the launch.bat again and see what happens.
  6. Re: Texture Pack [128x] Sphax PureBDcraft [(REAL)Technic 6.0.7 / Tekkit 2.1] I believe there is a 64x version for vanilla, but all the mods are in 128. If you want a 64x version you can simply open all the images and scale them by 50%, save and tadaa, now its 64x. if you do this you can post it here for other people to enjoy and when this same questions is asked again for the fourth time in the same thread, then we can point them to that! ;p
  7. This can be solved incredibly low-tech. Diamond transport pipe, filter all the shit you want to keep into an alchy chest. Filter the rest into a chest with a gem of eternal density. If EE is disabled, filter each item that you will get a lot of into its own double wide chest, like redstone or coal, the other good stuff into its own chest, the rest goes into a lava pit.
  8. In the last thread just like this one... it was determined that because of the way zombes x-ray and ore finder work that you cannot block it, only use mods to detect who is cheating and ban them. I have not checked the no cheater mods personally, I am just parroting what people said in the last thread where someone asked this.
  9. Bahahaha, this really cracked me up for some reason. Let me modify dudes physical example using the car. It is not like a radio, it is like a modification to the engine that makes the car run differently/faster whatever. Some of the engine mods are completely made by the mfg and are installed on top of the existing components. Others are modified versions of parts that came with the car. Not only that, but they are not created from the ground up to replace the existing part. Instead, they are removing existing parts of the car and doing modifications on it. Drilling speed holes and painting flames on the side and such ;p They then distribute these modified parts to people for installation into their cars and claim the work as their own. Then if anyone tries to combine their part with a rockin' spoiler and some fuzzy dice and sell it as a kit, they get all pissed off claiming the part is theirs. They did not invent the part (in those cases where they actually did not.) They put work into it yes, and some of that work is theirs, however the core component of it is not theirs, and the makers of the car explicitly forbid redistributing modified versions of their car parts, even if they allow it to happen anyway because it increases interest in their cars. Claiming copywright infringement on a distributed modified version of someone elses work when you have agreed not to distribute modified versions of that work in order to gain access to it... People keep saying technically they can still do that, technically its still their work, blah blah. It is a dick move and it is wrong IMO. Complaining about theft of something that it is wrong for you to have in the first place, It is like calling the cops and saying someone stole your bootleg movies. Okay yeah it is still theft, but you are a bad guy too buddy.
  10. Oh my bad, I just glanced here: http://mcportcentral.co.za/wiki/index.php?title=Ports_for_1.2.5 and didn't see anything under the client section. Sounds like you got it down now, let me know how it goes =)
  11. Sadly, logistics pipes only work in buildcraft 3.0 and there is no SMP version of buildcraft 3... yet. I am eagerly anticipating when buildcraft 3 gets SMP support and krapht makes smp sneakypipes and logistics pipes, and we can have gates too.
  12. I think it is changeable in the keybindings menu, try the different bindings in there, specifically the ones EE uses.
  13. I got this error occasionally on my local hosture ed server. Never figured out why, but usually if I tried a few times it would connect and then work fine. If you really can't get it to work hop over to the bug section and fill out a bug report. Make sure you fill out the bug report format correctly or your post will be ransacked by angry smurfs!
  14. If it was done it wouldn't be the dev build, it would be the rec build and there would be a server out for it.
  15. Tekkit is still on 1.1. The map format changed in 1.2.3 so your 1.2.5 map is not recognized by tekkit and it therefore creates a new one. even if you could get it working, you would have no copper, no tin, no rubber trees, etc. so you probably want to start a new server anyway.
  16. If you are hosting it on your own computer, don't put the external IP into the field, type localhost instead
  17. It works differently in SMP for some reason. You don't just turn it on and off. For example, the boots you have to hold down a button or something and when you jump you keep going up until you release it, like a jetpack. It does not work like srg/creative flight in SMP. No idea why, and no idea how the other pieces are changed, but at least the boots still do somewhat work.
  18. By look in NEI, I meant in-game. The list of items that comes up when you open your inventory. Type wireless into the box under your inventory panel and see what pops up. Chickenbones is the guy who writes the mods NEI as well as wireless redstone chickenbones edition, and some other stuff. According to ragnar, you can download playerapi, i am assuming a requirement of smartmoving, and put the files into the modpack.jar, and then drop smartmoving into the mods folder I suppose. I do not know if there is a client version required as well since I have no idea what smartmoving is =p
  19. Theyre not all on the list. I am 95% sure that wireless redstone is in the rec build of tekkit if you check in NEI.
  20. Not the case. I just tested it and it worked fine with 1 crystal in the table and extras in a chest touching it.
  21. For non-stacking items I thought you just pumped the items into a chest next to the auto-crafting table, then when you pull the target out of the table it replenishes the items from the chest.
  22. If you read the bug report format sticky you would see that what you posted is not the log we need. The modloader bug report actually tells us why it crashed.
  23. Not "overpowered"so much as game-breaking. If you use EE you can make 1big mining trip and then use EE to transmute any items you need from what you have. You can then set up condensers to get raw emc and basically never have to go mining again. Even if you do want to go mining you can make the catalyst like right off the bat and it becomes trivial. Further things like the picks or morningstar make mining a joke. It basically removes any form of resource scarcity or need to go gathering for certain materials. It takes the Mine out of Minecraft. Other mods have things like drills and quarries that augment and enhance mining, but do not complete replace it. On my personal servers, my wife and I just use something called self restraint to keep EEs flaws to a managable level. For example, we do not transmute metals, of any kind, ever. Sometimes I only use tramsmuted diamonds for EE and only use natural diamonds for everything else, so we still have to find a lot of diamonds. Granted, some people do not want to mine, they love how EE allows you to make whatever you want out of thin air. Good for you, I am glad that works for your playstyle. Personally however I think that takes away a large portion of the game, and frankly if you going to just transmute whatever you need from raw emc you might as well just NEI yourself whatever you want. A bit harsh perhaps, but whatever.
