  1. The error you are getting means you do not have enough ram free. The solution is to get more ram, shut down active programs until enough ram is free, or allocate less ram to the server in the launch bat. Also, you are running 32 bit windows, so you effectively only have 2g of ram, unless I am misremembering how that works.
  2. So wait, it isn't even running and you are trying to add more mods to it? lol Seriously though, if you post in the bug section and follow the bug report format, someone is likely to help you. You could at least figure out if there is nothing you can do. =)
  3. Technic pack works fine. If you added shit that broke it, that's not technic packs fault man. If you have other issues with it, perhaps you should post them in the bug section.
  4. It worked for you before... in single player. Just because you can get a mod working in ssp does not mean it will work in smp. I answered this already, it has to be smp compatible and the server mod has to be bukkited. If you don't understand what that means you probably shouldnt be fucking with your server files.
  5. You can't just throw mods on the client and expect it to work. They have to be installed on the server too, and I am pretty sure that millenaire and zeppelin are single player only. Not only that but tekkit runs on the craftbukkit server, so any server mods have to be bukkited as well. For future reference, you can find your crash logs like so:
  6. Yes it is possible. If you expect more information then that, you should probably provide more information, such as what you are trying to add and why it failed.
  7. Translation: Why isn't the server out yet? Nice attempt at masking it, but you are still asking about the server release. Edit: You know what, you're right. You aren't asking when the server is coming out. You are asking why it isn't out already. That is better because it combines the pointless impatient whining tone of an ETA request with a pompous dick attitude about how the free service being provided is not coming out fast enough for your liking while implying that you could do it faster.
  8. Oh, we know things. For example RedPower does not have permission to be ported to Bukkit. Also, the Tekkit client isn't even done, so any server that gets set up would just be temporary anyway. What do you expect them to do? Release a fully finished client and server at the exact same time without any testing? Regardless asking for an eta is against the rules. Seriously drop it, it serves no purpose just makes you look like a little kid who can't wait for Christmas. PS: If you can't wait and you think you can do it yourself, just do it yourself.
  9. Wild guess here: OP is living in a tundra/tiaga biome and doesn't like it, walked away and came across a chasm, panicked and posted. Certain biomes have snow in them. Even if you clear the snow, the next time it rains the snow will cover the ground again. Your option if you do not like it is to move to a different biome. You can press F3 to see what biome you are in. Snow in snow-type biomes is not a bug. Chasms are naturally formed features of the landscape, like the grand canyon. They are great for finding ores and getting deep into the earth quickly.
  10. Restart your computer and shut down any active programs you are not using, also shit that piles up in the taskbar. Or lower the amount of RAM you are trying to reserve. If you have 2g of ram, and you are trying to use 1.5 and windows takes .5, you have no margin for error. If you are running anything else in the background, suddenly your server won't start anymore. Or perhaps when you changed to the new server the bat is different and the ram settings are not what you used before when it worked.
  11. I'm guessing the video neglected to tell you how to port forward or find your external IP.
  12. Not that I want to encourage this shit, but there is not a bukkit port for redpower until eloraam decides to give permission for the people who ported it to release it. That isn't to say that you can't find a port somewhere...
  13. Sounds like your host is running a vanilla server. Make sure they have the tekkit server files. If you don't have control over how the server is launched you need to make sure they can run a bukkit server, then rename tekkit.jar to craftbukkit.jar before copying over the files.
  14. Sounds like its running a vanilla server. Does your service even run bukkit servers? If so, rename the tekkit.jar to craftbukkit.jar and see if that changes things.
  15. Try "/remove items -1" in-game.
  16. Delete your .techniclauncher folder and redownload it. If it still doesn't work, delete the server and redownload that. If it still doesn't work, post in the bug section using the bug report format =) EDIT: I missed that you are using latest build, the current server only allows connections from the recommended build. There is no server for the dev build out yet.
  17. Remember when I said everyone thinks their own issue is the most important? Way to be a prime example of that. A one word post for the sole purpose of bumping is pretty much the definition of a thoughtless no-content post, but you are so densely self-important and confident that your issue needs recognition that you fail to see it. Nice ban evade btw, now we have something else to laugh at you about, mate. edit: Something just occured to me, the "no bumping" rule is kind of like an advanced version of the "no sigs" rule. Allow me to elaborate: Bumping is a no-no 'round here, yet there is not a rule explicitly stating it. However, if someone actually reads the rules and has a couple of brain cells to rub together, they would notice that there is not one but two rules that do explicitly forbid such no-content posts. Whereas the no sigs rule is basically a test for whether or not you read the rules, no bumping is a test for whether or not you are smart enough to understand them. OP failed that test.
  18. Technically, the backseat mod rule forbids "talking like you have some kind of power" as in threatening punishment. I didn't see that in his post personally. I would classify it more as helpful tips. OP: If youre super worried about the transmutation tablet, probably want to block condensers too.
  19. use a solar panel and a detector cable to see when power is flowing through it. Also do not sign your posts, it is against the rules.
  20. Wrong again. Perhaps you didn't read it. It doesn't say "related" to the topic, it says "contributing" to the topic. Your post contributed nothing. It was a waste of space for the sole purpose of trying to get attention. I already explained that I was not a mod and "what I was doing here". I attempted to explain why you were called out by a mod, it is not my fault it went over your head. You do recall the moderator telling you not to bump your post right? You realize that means you did do something wrong. Rather then being a dick about it, perhaps you should try to wrap your head around what you were doing wrong so you can post better in the future. Logic indeed. Perhaps this rule will be a little more clear: Your post was a thoughtless post, also known as a no-content post. It is not my opinion, I am not guessing, it is a fact, as evidenced by the fact that you were explicitly warned against it by a moderator. When I first joined these forums people would get kellered for a shit post like that. I miss those days.
  21. My pleasure. Apparently ic2 coded their sounds really poorly resulting in a "wall of lag" as you walk a certain distance away from them. I run into this every time I build an auto water mill array and forget to turn off the ic2 sounds.
  22. Try turning off the sounds in the ic2 config client side.
